I'm having some trouble with the PS3 app. I've gotten the update and redownloaded the app as well but I am still experiencing worsening lag on video playback. Every couple of minutes the picture will freeze but audio will continue. The first time is a very small amount of time, but each consecutive freeze lasts longer and longer. Usually after 10 or 15 the entire playstation freezes and needs to be powered down manually. Any suggestions?

Just got this bug after the update:

I'm not sure if its intentional or a bug, but new simulcast episodes(such as tonight's Fairy Tail) won't even load on the PS3 app, but last weeks episode will just fine.

i'm experiencing frame skipping and freezing. Before the patch i experienced freezing, lag, and ps3 crashing... So it's better than before but still needs some fixing

Same as Shintsu, pre patch there was a lot of freezing and lag, it is better now but there is still frame skipping and freezing, on every video. Particularly in the last 2-3 minutes of a video, it will freeze every ten seconds or so, after having watched most of the video with just minor frame skipping issues.

I am happy to have this on PS3, just hope that the next patch fixes these issues.

I'm having the same issue with the PS3 app that I am with the iOS app - the anime is available for premium members like myself, but it cannot be viewed on a device other than the web page on the computer.

I fired up the crunchyroll PS3 app and was told there was an update. Updated it then logged in, found Space Brothers (available 15 minutes ago) but clicking "play" on my remote gives me a circular "working" cursor then it stops and I'm still looking at the screen with the snapshot from the ep. I just checked the app on my iPad and there's no play button there either. Last week's plays just fine though.

How long after the episodes are available can they be viewed on the apps? There ARE a couple of shows that I want to watch as soon as they're available (hey, I love them, ok? xD), and it's frustrating when I have to use the computer anyway.

Why am I unable to play a video that was recently released?
There is a 2-7 hour delay from when the videos are released on our site and released to our various apps due to technical reasons. Though we are actively working to resolve these issues so that the videos are released across all platforms at the same time.

We're aware of the reported issues and are working to resolve them but there is no ETA right now. Navigational issues will require an updated app to be submitted and approved by Sony. Video playback issues will likely require videos to be reprocessed. Some video problems may take less time to fix than others so there will likely be incremental fixes.

So we're in it for the long haul then eh? Well, it definitely sounds like work but I believe you guys are up to it. As long as this app is fully functional by the time 720p and 1080p get implemented :/

I've been having just the freezing issue after 2 or so episodes of continues watching every now and again, as well as episodes not starting after hitting play.

The first patch definitely helped, but it still happens more than I would like it to (or at all). I hate having to restart my PS3 and hearing the dreaded double beep, lol.

I understand the app on the PS3 is still in its infancy and there's still work to be done to improve it, as can be expected with any new app. Keep up the great work CR guys and hope to another patch improve it further.

And thanks for bringing it to the PS3!

Thanks for updating us on the status. Does the reprocessing require an update or is it something that can be done without?

Please add a subtitles language selection on PS3, That's just basic!!
