Most video related issues can be resolved without an update to the app. There is 1 issue which likely can be resolved by changing how we serve the videos and fixing all the videos should not take more than a month from the point that the fix finalized and deployed. But some issues would require all videos to be re-encoded which can take a few months from the point we start re-encoding everything. Though, when this happens, the latest episodes will instantly use the new encodes while the older videos will slowly be fixed.

Language selection is going to be added after the main bugs are fixed.

An episode of Space Brothers (17) quit on me about halfway through, the app told me it was at the end of the episode and had started to prepare the next one. Then when I tried to get back into the original episode, it started it over from the beginning. Then it wouldn't buffer anymore. Amazingly enough, when I switched back to my computer, it knew EXACTLY where it had crashed before. Please fix this. The application clearly needs more work before it is in production status.

The most common issue I've read throughout these threads is the video stopping for 5-10 seconds while the audio continues. Is this fix going to address that problem, or would it require the re-encoding? It would usually not be a big issue, but with subtitles involved it can be, depending on where the stops are. As others have said, we can't rewind and try them again since it happens in fixed places.

Are you in the U.S. or Canada? Those are the only PSN Store locations they have made the app available in thus far.

I noticed a moment of lag after paused for a few minutes but the lag moment does not happen until like 20 seconds after you have resumed it. I only watched Bleach so far but are there going to be more options?

Just dropping in to let you know that I'm still having issues after installing the patch. I watched several episides of Blue Exorcist last night and had some issues. I routinely (2-3 times during each 24min. episode) would have issues where the video skipped forward, and the progress bar would display at the top when this happened. On a couple occasions the crunchyroll app would skip to the next video in the series, or display a garbled background with a countdown before the next episode plays.

Also, please add a dead-zone to the triggers for ff/rw. Simply setting the controller down will cause the video to go forwards or backwards. Note: This is probably not the cause of the skipping while watching the videos. I tested this by turning off all the controllers while watching and still experienced the skips.

yeah I'm having these same problems with my PS3 app - it's really odd though cause it ONLY skipped in the same part over and over again. I'd rewind to see the subs that I missed and it would skip at that part again.

im still having issues with not being able to watch anything at all the screen goes dark for a few seconds and the loading icon stops moving then it just goes back to the selection screen. have i done something wrong or is that just one of the issues that people are still having?

I downloaded the update and I'm still having problems with my PS3 app. I watched all of Little Nemo without a problem. I jump over to Hell Girl and 2 episodes is as far as I got before it started acting all skippy and laggy. My Netflix and Hulu are fine so I know it's the app. Please fix this. Thank you.
