The power light remains in standby (red) when it does it. All connections are solid and secure. The PS3 is operating (atleast from what I can tell without it being opened up) normally. All games play just fine on and offline, & downloads are fast and uninterrupted minus a PSN download a week ago that decided to freeze up at 60/900 MB every time I attempted to redownload. I checked my DNS and router settings as well as several connection and speed tests, but they proved my system was operational and connection unhindered. It may have been a burp on psn's side as I have had no issues since, also, I use Netflix as well and never once had it crash my system or error at all. I am pretty stumped as the next Guy, but I am ever fervent that it will be solved one way or another. I would not doubt it being a hardware problem if I had evidence to support it, but at this time, I do not. My sector scans on the HDD turned up clean, no faults or bad sectors. This is truly quite the conundrum.

Is your PS3 still under warranty, or did you happen to purchase the extended warranty? If none of your trouble shooting is able to resolve the issue you can try calling Sony Technical Support for more help. If your device is under warranty they will repair it or replace it with another system.

When you watch it on the website does it come up with an age gate? make sure the mature content filter is off in your account settings, that's what worked for me with the same problem.

Don't forget that if you plan to send your PS3 to Sony, hook up an external hard drive (or a very large thumb drive if you have one) to your PS3 and run the Data Transfer Utility. If you have purchased any music, movies, TV shows, or have any saved games that are DRM locked, running the Data Transfer Utility will ensure that you are able to play back the content if Sony sends you a replacement system. If Sony says they will repair your system and send it back to you then you just need to run the Backup Utility. However, to be safe, it would be best to run both utilities.

If you have PS+ and only need to keep your saved game data then you can just copy them to the cloud storage, although I am not sure if the DRM saves will work if you try and download them onto another system.

When watching Squid Girl on the PS3 app, once I get into season 2, episode 2 the PS3 black screens and freezes, I can't scroll or play past this part. All other titles right now play fine, it's just this one.

I'm having issues with the PS3 app. I was on a 48 hour premium pass and had logged into my account on my PS3. It has since expired but now when I'm trying to either log in or watch any movie (not just the 1 week early premium episode) it asks (tells) me to sign up for a 30 day premium membership. If I try to register as a current user, it takes me to the "put in credit card info here" screen. If I cancel out of the pop up screen, I'm taken back to the video selection but further clicking on videos takes me right back to the "sign-up for a 30 day trial". Also, I seem to be unable to to access the options screen (home, anime, videos, etc...). Not sure if this is an issue of not being able to log in or not...?

So far my actions have been to delete and reload the Crunchy app, closing and opening the app, and shutting down and turning my PS3 back on. All of which have not resolved this issue. Any help here? I'm at a lose on what to try next...

I bought a subsciption so i could watch anime on my TV but it just doesnt even work. the app is like broken. i can't seem to select videos. The loader in the corner loads for a few seconds and then it stops and the video doesnt play. i tried logging off and back on but it doesnt seem to work. my connection is wired and all that and i can run netflix and youtube. this needs to be fixed soon.

The PS3 app is currently only available to Premium Members.

Please try logging out and logging back in through the PS3 app. If you're unable get to logout/login menu, first uninstall and reinstall the app.

Are you "sure" about that Basou? I ask ONLY because I had it and watched it before I had a 48 hour premium membership pass. Of course, I could be wrong since I also watch it through my web TV as well and could be mixing the two up. If the PS3 only works for premium members, can I ask if that will be change in the future? Just because since I can obviously watch my anime through Crunchy from both my webTV and here of course for free.
