My connection is wireless, reaching 60% is practically a miracle in my case. So, bugs aside, does anyone know how much would that influence the playback? I'm fine staying with 480p as being able to watch is all I really care about at this time.

Hi just just tried to sign up via my ps3 and when i got to the zip/postal part all that came up was a number pad. My postal caode is like this l*v*c* the stars are numbers. .... can i sign up with that or am i missing something i just watched hunter x hunter and loved it and would like to continue it

The keypad only lets you enter numbers so you can't enter a postal code, and thus can't get the free month instead of 2 weeks. I wasn't amused too much by it either.

Honestly trying to enjoy my free trial. I am willing to pay for a service that works... I know it just 'rolled out', but there has been so many problems (frustratingly bad problems, too...) that I am about to give up on it. It has taken me almost two hours to watch three episodes of an anime. The app keeps crashing and locking up my PS3 (doing a hard reset is going to kill the thing).

I'm having the same problems. I can only get through one episode at a time before the app crashes which forces me to restart the console due to lock ups. Episodes also lag about every 2 min too and sometimes they completely d sync audio wise.

I really like the service and would gladly pay for it, but if a patch doesn't come out that shows greatly improved performance before my 30 days are up I won't be continuing the service. That'll be sad :(

CR has done everything they can so far and it is up to Sony now to issue the update. I think it has been at least 3 days now that CR sent the patch to Sony that is suppose to address all of the issues but Sony has yet to release the patch.

Sony is known for taking a while to approve an app.

I sent Bjaker a PM yesterday to verify CR is aware of this (and they are).

Hopefully they will roll out the patch early next week, but it appears they want to try and take care of all the known issues in one pass.

Given some of the problems other users are experiencing, perhaps it isn't a bad thing you can't sign up for the 30 day free trial yet. When you can, it should also be a less problematic experience.

Good point, sir. Good point. I did consider that when the app yielded some depressing results.

Anyhoo I don't think anyone could out-do Diablo III's catastrophically awful release (and subsequently cash devouring scheme that was later revealed yet obvious the whole time) even if they tried. The problem's in Sony's hands now. Who else feels like rioting?

I really want to love the Ps3 app, I really do. But with 3 hard resets per day I worry that it will cause permanent damage to my system.
As for features I'd like to see in the future, I'd like to see the ability to link your CR account to your PSN account so you can see notifications on queue updates, daily deals, ect on your ps3. Until then, my galaxy s3 will still be my preferred method for watching my anime.

I really wish this service worked better on my PS3.

I've also had to hard reset my system a few times (not every single time I've watched anime but the first time I had to reset it 3 times).

When I'm watching some of the shows it will randomly be laggy or out of synch and it will remain like that even if I rewind the episode or try to reload it again.

Sometimes it will stop on a frame but the audio will keep going and then it will quickly catch up to the audio. This is kind of annoying since I have to read the subtitles and they go by really fast when that happens. This is probably the least of my worries though. I would rather 1) not have my system crash because of this app 2) not have to deal with laggy episodes that are unbearable to watch.

Hello! Just got the app today, started my free trial, and...

Well, there are a few concerns. First and most alarming is the fact that my PS3 is constantly locking up while using the Crunchyroll app. I have had to hard reset (and I've count) six times, one time I had just started the app up after hard resetting only for it to instantly lock up again! This will not do, I am trying to enjoy what seems like an awesome service but this could be a nightmare (No way I can replace my system).

Secondly, audio is out of the synch with a few programs, and coupling that with the 'lag', it just makes things turn to a confused crawl. The app also seems to have a problem recognizing I'm a user even while logged in and I've verified my email. I can watch shows, but then it will say I'm not a member, then go back to normal.

CR has already issued a patch for the app to fix these problems but we have to wait for Sony to approve the update and release it to the PSN.

well reading the posts answers my question im having a issue of the video not even playing going dim for a few seconds than going back to the selection screen hopefully sony gets the patch out soon to fix the issues im about to cancell my netflix cause its about worthless this app is a great idea
