Did an uninstall/reinstall and now instead of going to a blank screen and crashing when browsing through episodes or after playing an episode the app just locks up but doesn't go to a blank screen.

I have a suggestion for the ps3 app. I noticed this when I first downloaded the app and have been thinking about since then. in the video interface while playing a video when you pause you get this control menu at the top.



often I pause the screen if there is a TL note at the top or something like that how ever with this menu you can't read them it gets in the way.
so i was wondering if CR could make it possible that the pause menu would disappear if you wait a couple of seconds like when you pause a video on the website

just a suggestion I have anyway i love the app and CR keep up the good work!

I was gonna say that pressing the Triangle button makes the menu disappear, but it seems that only works during playback. I just paused a video and the triangle button does not make the menu disappear.

This would be a nice feature when you have to pause to read TL notes, or signs.

I thought I'd post to say my fat PS3 got the YLOD last week, and I just picked up the new slimmer model. It looks like the different models really do make a difference, and I'm not having any problems at all anymore (still using wifi). So, it looks like I won't be around this thread anymore. Thanks for all the help before, and I hope everyone else gets their problems fixed ASAP!

Can we please have the ability to disable subtitles in videos on PS3? I'm using the immersion technique to learn Japanese and the subtitles are really hard to ignore when the story is really good!! :)

Just thought I'd pop in -- I know some others mentioned it when it was first released. I'd actually really prefer if in your queue you could have an option at least to view the series cover instead of by episodes. It's just easier and nicer to scroll through and recognize things quickly. Also if you're in your queue and press square for more, the episode thumbnail often prevents a lot of the summary from showing. So if I want a friend to read what a show is about I often have to get out of my queue.

Posting here to continue my own thread, at Bjaker's request.

Can I upgrade my connection in order to get the 720p? Is there a way to find out how good or bad my connection is?

EDIT: I figured it out, and apparently my download speed is 3.6 Mbps, and my upload speed is 1.3 Mbps. So that meets the requirements, right? But the videos I'm getting don't seem to be in 720p, despite that.

Go here and make sure you have a birth date set - http://www.crunchyroll.com/editprofile/?tab=basic

Step two!
Go here and make sure you have 'Show Mature Content' enabled - https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video

Step three!
Add it to your Queue.

This should enable playback for the show.
