It's in my plan to have it Wired, but right now I can't really do it because the router is damn far from my room. So what I understand from your post is my problem could be the Wi Fi connection. Why not, but it doesn't happen all the time.

My guess is that it is from being on Wi Fi. It's just not as reliable connection method as a hard line.

PS3,alot of various shows arn't playable. You go to the video list and it will say something about unable to get list or some stuff. If you just try to play the series without checking the videos it will freeze the ps3 requiring to hardreboot. Shows that have a video list work fine.

I already tried re- installing 2 or 3 times & it still does it.The app is now black screening/hard locking while the app is trying to load,making it unusable atm.I tried re-installing to fix that & it didn't work.

v1.lln.crunchyroll.com is what you need to test against.

However the black screen while scrolling is a known issue and is a bad cached file.

Uninstall and then reinstall the app.

PS3 app worked great at first lately every time I watch an anime video and start the next, there is a slight lag and I have to stop it and start it again to get it in sync, sound and video. Sometimes that won't work and I have to completely get out of the app and go in again, restarting after each episode. Website is fine, no real issues, and it is using wireless, unlike playstation is using wired connection. Any ideas? is there a cache or something on the playstation?

Hello, I would just like to add that the crunchyroll team should add SD support (aka. lower quality) for the PS3. I have a 1.5 mbit connection and can very rarely stream the 480p content. I know that there are others in the same boat as me, not everyone lives in well populated areas. 1.5 mbits seams to be a common DSL connection so I think, it would make sense to create a streaming option for those that have limited bandwidth. This is just a suggestion, but the netflix app gave a manual option of choosing the quality, perhaps a similar option could be had. I don't mean to complain, or change things for me, but this is just my experience.

I'm consistently having the PS3 app crash on me while trying to scroll through videos for Slam Dunk, it also happens periodically when scrolling through my queue.

I have a original model PS3, it was originally with an 80 gb HDD but I replaced it about two years ago with a 500 gb HDD. I did not have this crashing problem until I added quite a few shows to my queue.

*edit Happened again, seems I can reproduce this 100% of the time if I try scrolling through Slam Dunk's videos. I never make it past episode 10 in the list.

*edit 2 tried reinstalling the app, same outcome.

After scrolling back a page or two I see that this is a known issue, oh well.

I have the 160 GB slim PS3 (wired directly to my cable modem, NO router) and have been having the same issue where my PS3 will crash to a black screen and require a restart when quickly browsing through my queue or episode lists.

So, I deleted and redownloaded the crunchyroll app and now it seems to be working fine. The re-installation seemed to do the trick for me. For those who are still having problems, maybe you need to keep trying? If it's a bad cache file that is causing the problem, maybe it keeps getting corrupted for some reason, and I'll probably run into the scroll-crash issue again later on.

I guess just keep deleting and re-downloading until it does the trick, it worked for me. And hopefully, the CR team will eventually figure out the cause and issue an update. *fingers crossed*

Thanks this worked. Other than that im just having the known video/audio desync which is already known , and thats a fairly easy fix todo until it is fixxed.

Haven't watched Slam Dunk, but I think my recurring PS3 app crashes started when I tried to scroll through the Bleach episodes. After that it was happening almost every time I scrolled through episodes of anything. I'm going to try deleting installation and re-installing as well. CR has crashed on me occasionally before, but never this many times in such a short span of time. I have the 160 GB Slim, wireless cable connection. Hope a fix is forthcoming soon!

Edit: Re-installing didn't fix the problem.
