Interesting!! So just to make sure, this only happened after fastforwarding the episode? It's not happening now? |

I used the D Pad to do this. Can you try uninstalling, turning off the PS3, turning it back on then doing this? What kind of PS3 do you have? Actually, it was Kimi Ni Todoke: Season 2, Episode 11 "When the Curtain Falls". The 2nd to last episode. Sorry about that. So I went through the steps. Deleted the app. Turned the console Off/On. Reloaded the Crunchyroll app. Scrolled through my Queue almost to the end. Selected Kimi Ni Todoke and scrolled through the episodes. And just before I reached Episode 11, I got the BSOD again. The last two times, I didn't even get to select the episode. It went to the BSOD while scrolling. I've got the fat 60GB PS3. It's one of the old backward compatible models. I recently swapped out the HD for a bigger 500GB model. But I doubt that matters, because the first time I got the BSOD was with my original HD. I'll hit up on of the engineers on Monday for further suggestions. Help me understand exactly what the rip is going on. According to you, in regards to me, this issue, along with many, many others (like the one you found "interesting" in the post above this one) should have already been known by your "engineers" and part of a patch that is being worked on (that has been months now). This issue is even one of the more common issues throughout this thread. You get where I'm going with this? Anyway, add this to your bucket of issues: I go into the PS3 app today, hit up my queue and I notice something very strange, most all of the anime titles and their descriptions are in Japanese. What's more strange, since that's OK with me, when I scrolled twice to the right (with the D-Pad) the app freezes ("BSOD") my PS3, surprise-surprise. Worse yet, upon re-booting, it doesn't fix anything. I get back into the app; if I move once, via the D-pad, it freezes ("BSOD"), if I try to launch the first show in my queue, it freezes ("BSOD"). It's 100% unusable. I've deleted and re-downloaded the app, I've rebuilt the PS3's database, restored the file system, nothing works. EDIT: Just "fixed" it. I went into my account setting here on the site, swapped from Japanese to English in the Language settings (I had it on Japanese previously but it always showed stuff in English regardless) and that fixed it. Going back to Japanese causes the app to go nuts again. Might want to look in to this. Something of an off-note to go with the app suddenly showing Japanese text, last night this site was displaying certain things in French. |

Fairly common issue throughout the thread. It happens to me on numerous occasions, most recently with Madoka Box Season 2. The only way to "fix" it is to wait it out - it'll magically just work, eventually.

I was getting the same problem with crash to black screen requiring a manual shutdown whenever I tried to browse Chihayafuru episodes in the videos list. I deleted the app, restarted the console, re-installed, patched, etc.
Now EVERY show I try to browse episodes causes this hard freeze. I've been using CR on PS3 for a while now without much of issues, this suddenly started happening Sunday and has been going since then. |

If folks are having issues with shows working in the PS3 browser, or are having Spanish subs show up....
Can you please try going here: https://www.crunchyroll.com/acct/?action=video And making sure that the Default Language is 'English (US)' and let me know if this resolves the problem? Please also remember that you can use the 'Contact Us' link to reach out to us as well! |

I am sure this has been asked many times but really I couldn't find it. WHY aren't all the shows on the PS3? I can get more of the titles on my Kindle Fire. I want to be able to watch everything on the PS3

I've been trying to watch Crunchyroll through my PS3 browser since I don't really want to use the app for it. I don't watch that much so I didn't want to pay for a subscription.
Anyway, I tried going on Crunchyroll to watch some anime yesterday and the player didn't pop up. It was just a blank white spot where it would usually be. I haven't been to the site through the PS3 browser in a while so I'm not sure how long it's been like this. I know that the plugins are on and everything, I just don't know what else might be wrong. Please let me know if there is any solution. Thank you! ![]() |

Something of an off-note to go with the app suddenly showing Japanese text, last night this site was displaying certain things in French. I just wanted to echo, that I'm having *the exact same problem*. Log in to PS3 app, go to my cue, titles on the queue screen are in japanese, start my first title in the queue, Sword ARt Online 11 in my case, and the episode starts playing with Spanish subtitles, i exit out, and move to the next title on my queue, when the screen goes black, nothing is responsive and I have to do a hard power off on the ps3 console itself. So crunchyroll is unusable on my PS3. It was working fine as of Fri Mar 8th, but next I tried on the 15th, boom , doesn't work, even after multiple times deleting and reinstalling the app. I too have the original 60GB backward compatible launch PS3. gavv |

Interesting!! So just to make sure, this only happened after fastforwarding the episode? It's not happening now? As an investigating aside, this only seems to happen when you're logged in to the app. After a reinstall of the app, before logging in, I attempted to play the free sample episodes, that seemed fine, but after logging in, no matter if you are in your queue or browsing eps in the catalog the language problem then the BSOD problem happens. gavv |

I am currently watching Children Who Chase Lost Voices and at two points (may be more if I keep watching) the show went back ten seconds or more while the progress bar popped up when it jumped back.
