I'm having an issue playing some titles (omamori himar and school days being some). THey simply dont work. If i hit the play or pause buttion, the status bar come up at the top and just says "some random episode title". I tried the logging out and back in gimick that says it'll work for PS3 but that didnt help.

Note i tried School days/Omamori Himari on the ps3 and had the same prob.

Anyone else have this issue and/or could you fix it?

No joy. On a side note the same videos crash my PS3. Perhaps issue with videos themselves? Just tested with Omamori Himari and School Days. Dont want to kill my PS3 lol

Does the Samsung app by any chance use the same encodes as the Roku and Vizio apps?

This is more than idle curiosity on my part, as I see CR has gone on record with plans for 720p and 1080p support for the Samsung app later this year.

That's an excellent question!
I'll ask the engineer who is heading that project when he gets in and let you know.

Are these mature titles?

Do you have Show Mature Content set in your preferences?

It had no setting so I changed it to "Show". I'll try it out when able. Thanks for the tip

Either that or the small update I downloaded seemed to have fixed the problem!

(a bit off-topic)

What should my Internet speed be when you activate the 720 and 1080p?

My (Samsung TV) app was working fine yesterday and this morning, but subtitles are not showing up at all on shows released today that I tried to watch (specifically Kuroko no Basket and Poyopoyo). However, I watched The Knight in the Area and Fairy Tail this morning without a problem. Is there a time lag between when subtitles become available on the app or something?

The last time I tested the actual data rate of a 720p stream, it was 1.555Mbps, but that was in February 2011. From what I understand, CR has boosted the bitrate somewhat since then, so even with no other internet activity, I would recommend 2Mbps downstream as a minimum.

From what I understand, the bitrate for 1080p is about double, so 4Mbps is the likely minimum (with no other internet activity).

I know on the Roku that is the case (i.e., episodes appear first without subtitles, and those follow a few hours later).

Hello, in samsung app i can't see spanish subtitles, just in english.
And neither find the option to change it.

Maybe if I can configure the language subtitles in samsung app same as web page default but you tell me what can I do?

Thank you Crunchyroll.

(response in spanish)

Dado que las aplicaciones de PS3 y de Samsung Smart TV son muy recientes, todavía no tienen esa opción, en el primer post del hilo ellos ya dijeron que pronto pondrán una actualización que añadiría eso.
