As most of you have noticed, we have seen more and more Sentai anime from the Anime Network make their way on to Crunchyroll such as Angel Beats!, Xamd: Lost Memories, and Night Raid 1931.
What I want to ask is; do you think this trend will continue? Will we see more Sentai/ Anime Network anime come to CR like Allison & Lillia, Clannad, Heaven's Memo Pad, or Infinite Stratos? |

If you notice, the library titles that have been added all list the publisher as Aniplex. Although I expect these were actually licensed from Sentai, Aniplex was no doubt the original publisher Sentai licensed them from, so I expect any Sentai titles from them would be the ones to anticipate. That would seem to rule out the three titles you mentioned, but would appear to make A-Channel and Guin Saga candidates (going by the titles listed on Aniplex's Wikipedia page that are also listed at TAN). No, CR never had it. It was TAN's simulcast in Winter 2011 (the first one to have a delayed start, and as I recall, also their first simulcast of a TBS series). |

Thanks for the information, hopefully we can at least see those two be added in the future. |

From the Sentai Filmworks panel at Otakon:
Audience: What's your relationship with Crunchyroll? Williams: They give us money and we give them shows. A lot of the shows that are streaming go through Crunchyroll because they want to go through those shows. Audience: What about simulcasts? Some shows air there before Anime Network. Williams: Yeah, that's a case-by-case basis. Crunchyroll might ask for a month exclusive before it can go up on other networks, but they're one of multiple outlets we can license stuff to. So it doesn't seem there is a direct relationship, ala the Funico agreement that seems to have gone precisely nowhere in the past couple of seasons. However, it does seem to be the case that Sentai is much more open to selling CR rights to broadcast their licensed shows, especially the ones that have already hit the BD/DVD market, than a couple of years ago. |

It does seem that Sentai is much more open to CR, and I guess these answers from the panel explain it. Interesting the second question from the panel also explains why I would see a simulcast completely finished here on CR yet the Anime Network would only have six or so episodes. This was case of Mashiro-iro Symphony back in Fall 2011, a title Sentai has licensed. |
