Why are little kids obsessed with Angry Birds?

Seriously I rather it be Pokemon or Dragon Ball Z.
I played Angry Birds myself and I don't think it should earn this much credit or attention

Did you enjoy arcade games when you were younger? Pacman, Galaga, even pinball? That's where the root of the Angry Birds obsession comes from, much like those games!

They're all very simple, simple to learn but tough to master. Any kid can "get" the concept of Angry Birds in one go. It's not a complex game with complex menus/controls/story to learn. Sure you CAN put strategy and technique into the game, but you can also get by without, explaining its appeal to younger and older kids. Plus, it's free. So anyone can have it. So obviously, all their friends have it too-they want to play the "Cool" thing and fit in. Plus, comparing scores is a big draw, surely.

On a separate level, it's super mass-marketed. It's everywhere-on shirts, in commercials, toys, ect. So most kids know what it is and if it's free and in their face, why not try it? It's similar to how pop music gets its appeal. c:

I know the explanation is sort of long winded, but hey, a theory is a theory right?
