Ive been having trouble with my Crunchy Roll App (google tv).

It would not load any new data for the app nor stream any shows.

There was a update available, however when i tried to install it i recieved the error "This update is not compatible with this device."

So i decided to uninstall/reinstall the app.

I uninstall the app and looked on the market place, the Crunchy Roll app is no longer listed.

Any time frame on when it will be re-listed?

Thanks.

I'm actually having the same issue, using a Logitech Revue Google TV box. Just checked, and the system says I'm up to date;

Model Number:
Revue

Firmware Version:
3.2

Build number:
KA2X-20120518.141456.user-b65871-p

Shows the Crunchyroll app as not compatible. :(

Am getting around it by simply watching my shows via flash player on the built in broswer, but it's not the best experience. Wish the app worked.

I recieved an error that the newest update was not compatable with my device.

Im using a Sony Internet Player (NSZ-GS7).

Problem now is that the "Crunch Roll" app is no longer in the app store.

I was referring to the actual Android operating ystem being up to date, not the CR app itself. Usually when an Android app says it is not compatible with your device it is because the Android app now requires a newer version of Android to work. Once the app is uninstalled it will no longer show up in the market for devices that are not running the minimum version of Android required.

In this case it seems that either the app update is incorrectly reading the android version on your Google TV, the app got removed, or there is some kind of bug with the android market since fourthfate was still unable to install the app after making sure his Google TV had the newest version of Android installed.

I just checked for a system update, non are available atm. Maybe once they distribute a system update the Crunchy Roll app will be compatable again and thus show in the market place.

Was the Crunchyroll app specifically for Google TV, or does it use the same one as the phone/tablet version? Was the app called Crunchyroll for Google TV or just Crunchyroll?

I just checked the Play Store website and they only like one Crunchyroll app. CR just recently rewrote the entire Crunchyroll app from the ground up, and if the Google TV uses the same app as the phone/tablet version it could be that when Crunchyroll rewrote the app they forgot to put in support for Google TV.

If you haven't already, fill out the contact form to report this problem. http://www.crunchyroll.com/help?topic=contact CR opens again tomorrow so Bjaker will be able to start going through all of the reported problems that have gathered over the weekend.

Latest build was not for Google TV.
We're working on a new build that will be released soon.

Did the introduction of the new app somehow disable the older app from working with Crunchyroll Servers???

This would be a significant issue if that is the case.

I recieved a reply when i submitted a trouble ticket 7 days ago.

They stated the Google TV version would be released "soon".

So...guess 1 week does not fall into the "soon" category.

Any update/ETA?

There is no longer a C.R. app for the google tv. What ever you do don't uninstall it or you will only be able to access C.R. through the web browser. There is no longer an Android market on the tv. It is called Google Play TV and there is no C.R. app. It's really a shame because the app. that was on the tv made these new apps. PS3, Samsung Smart Tv look really bad. All the glitches and stuff. I guess if C.R. ever releases a new app for the tv it will have all the issues that the new apps have. Of course soon could be a year down the road.
