are you religious? if so, why?

my religion is beer. I know some people say that beer worship can lead to bad things and even some "scientists" say it can be unhealthy for you. But I just know in my heart that beer is good.

i'm a religious Muslim, i wasnt religious before, but then i took it upon myself to study my religion, i believe that the religion with 0 scientific errors in its book is the truth, & until now i havent found one error in our book, ive watched many debates about this or that being an error, but they are always debunked.
religion does seem like a big fairy tale but with the proof of my religion's truth right in front of me i cant deny it, and my life has been alot better ever since i started practicing it, and dont mistake a religious muslim for what u might have seen/heard on tv please, those are just extremists |

Thank you for your patience.

This will be my final post because as i have stated i am not a scholar or anything. |

Having claimed God for ourselves, each religion declared damnation of the heathen.
And as God does he answers prayers, and no man reaches heaven. Woe unto your fellow man is woe unto yourself. We will all be merry bubbling on Satan's bloated shelf. |

If you're interested, I was considering the ramifications of the theological assertion that there is only one God. The immediate conclusion is that all prayers have but one destination. By deduction if only two, out of the thousands of opposing religions, were to declare "all outsiders be damned," the total aggregate of people going to hell would encompass all of humanity in the subset. I suppose my poem could be cited as proof that atheists can come up with devotional poetry.... It's too bad Hitchens isn't around to see his paradigm reaffirmed. It's not sardonic. It is a true expression of my love for humanity and the mother hen levels of worry and responsibly I feel for its confused children. In my desperation I concede to the God which exists in the minds of men, that we have damned ourselves by damning each other. Call it an admission from an atheist that we have denied heaven to ourselves, by denying it to each other. Midst the genocidal atrocities and endless waves of tears, it is undeniably true that this tug-of-war for God has denied us the possibility of heaven on earth, if no where else. |

I love how it takes about 10 times as many words to clearly elucidate in academic form, a sentiment which is almost crystalline when phrased as poetry. I like both the poetry and the commentary though. I think it it's one of the gem like posts that make the Augean stables of most forums (crunchy roll included) worth shoveling through |
