Other videos play fine but Polar Bear Cafe has been giving me 'Loading' time and time again on my Roku. I thought it might just be a temporary thing but it's been a month now.

Please, this is killing me! I do NOT WANT TO WATCH THIS ON MY %$#@*! LAPTOP!!!

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest.

Please, if you can look at this and get it to stream properly I would be very grateful. This is such a great site with so much great content, but performance for paying customers does not seem to be very high. I am always on the verge of cancelling my subscription but no one else has this stuff in Japanese and I really like the overall feel of the site. I just wonder sometimes if all the bandwidth isn't going to non-paying customers so that they can view commercials in ultra-high definition or what have you.

Enough of my ranting. Please take a look. I need my shiro kuma!

You waited an entire month before saying anything and you are upset that it hasn't been fixed? If you don't report the problem how will CR know that there is a problem in the first place?

FYI, free members do not get any HD of anything, not even the commercials. In fact, they don't even get 480p. They get an SD stream which is 360p and is low bitrate. Your problem has nothing to do with there not being enough bandwidth.


EDIT: There is also a stickied thread at the top of the help forum that you can read to see if any of the fixes work for you. You can also read through the newest posts within the last month to see if anyone is having the same problem as you. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-682693/roku-via-wd

I checked just now and was able to play both the first and most recent episode with no problem. Given this, and the lack of reports by other Roku users regarding any problems with the series, the problem is most likely on your end.

If you have not powered off and restarted your Roku since the problem occurred, I would suggest trying that first.

If that does not resolve the problem, unlink your account, uninstal the app, and then reinstall it and re-link your account.

Chris - I expect occasional blips and I expect them to get ironed out over time as has happened in the past. When time passes and they don't resolve themselves, I post here and cry like a stuck hyena on steroids! New episodes of PBC don't come out too frequently, so not watching that show for a few weeks or more is not at all unlikely for me.

This is encouraging, and I appreciated your putting my feverish delusions to rest once and for all.

Thanks all for the tips, I'll see if rebootin' the 'ku helps. I'm also using an older version of the Roku hardware. I'd upgrade if I thought it would help, but am hesitant because it works fine (usually) as is.

I didn't reboot or anything, but the problem seems to have resolved itself since the last time I tried (last night).

I'm brewing up a latte as we speak for more Shiro Kuma bliss!

Thanks to whomever, wherever for tweaking whatever. I AM BACK IN THE SADDLE!!!
