ummm and last ..try to feel your nearby surrounding and be sly like a fox ..........world is cruel .learn to be cunning ...
I'll try and I know I don't take what old teachers say to heart but sometimes it just piles up and bam you feel like you're the most unrespectful girl in the world. She has a way of making you feel immature (well, i'm immature but still)

I try to be as clear as possible so that no one can misunderstand me, but if they're still stupid enough to it won't bother me.. Besides, you're bound to be misunderstood by someone or the other no matter what, might as well get used to it lol.

I hate being misunderstood so much, I don't even say anything. In fact, I even let people make decisions for me. Well, that part is because everybody around me is a control freak. :x

I've been misunderstood, I'm sure anyone has. It's not a good feeling, but you can't help it *shrugs*

If it were the situations like the OP then yes I would find it very annoying.

Just looking at the question at face value though - only slightly if I don't know them.

It's far more annoying when a friend doesn't understand you than some stranger.

I'm missunderstood all the time, haha. Yes, it's annoying as hell. But, what can you do right?

Huh. I'm not sure if my type of misunderstanding goes in the same category.
I'm the stereotypical nerd type, and I mean I am the very DEFINITION of nerd.
Sadly, most people are unfamiliar with this stereotype and treat me as the exact opposite, an idiot. Numerous times people have confused me for a retard or openly told someone that I was trying to help to "don't listen to him, he's funneh-funneh in the head".
I'm also thought of as "cheeky" by my English teacher, for my constant bad jokes.
They are all SEVERELY shocked when they see the grades I get on tests and other things, and spend a few minutes trying to work out with their less-nerdy minds how I did it when most of the time I'm caught "sleeping" in class. (I'm actually just keeping my head down, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE BRAINPOWER TO REASON THAT) Well, I've ranted enough, so I'm gonna just say au revoir and stop taking up so much space.

I greatly dislike being misunderstood, and my words are always misconstrued. Show a shred of intelligence in your dialogue and you're an elitist who looks down on others, sprinkle creative ways of saying things into your vocabulary and you're someone who's out of touch.

I'd like to mention that I am quite eccentric, but I don't make it overly obvious. In fact, my overall appearance is that of indifference, but not the kind of "I'm indifferent right now, because I am actually simulating the murder of each person who annoys me in this very room" indifference. You know, just the unassuming for the sake that it's not worth putting too much into everything. It's not like I CAN'T be happy.

Depends who I'm being misunderstood by.

I do a decent job at keeping myself occupied - never a dull moment.

Story of my life...

it seems everytime I state my opinion, I start off amazing, like everyone agrees with me and they even voice it, but when I try to elaborate to finalize and win a debate, I always speak the images that come to mind, thus.... most people end up not understanding my "logic"
