Philips Smart TV is not Samsung Smart TV. LG also uses the term "Smart TV", but you won't find it there, either.

just want to say thank so much for this, i own a samsung smart tv (UN46D8000-YFXZA) and this app works really well, after using the app on my ps3 (even after the patch) i prefer much more the one on my samsung smart tv, it delivers a constant quality (which looks acceptable) and there is no lag or freezings.

just keep this good quality of app on this platform, i'm exciting waiting for the the 720/1080p support with Spanish subs.

FYI all, if you have a Samsung Blu-ray player then you get Smart TV. The BD player costs way less then a TV so if you are worried about cash then there are alternatives. ^^

That being said, thank you Crunchyroll! This makes me super happy.

You are awesome for pointing this out. Can finally justify keeping my membership and watching it on my bluray player. Been using my phone's HDMI and the Crunchyroll app and that gets really annoying.

Thanks to the CR crew. Been waiting for this for a while.

Samsung's app is restricted to a VERY few select devices. Was this Crunchyroll's doing to control their brand or was this something that Samsung did?

My devices are too high of a model to support it on the blu-ray side and my tv is just before the smart tv change over. I hope that something is configured for all the other devices that are capable of streaming the media to be able to use it.

how do I get the subtitles to show on my videos? Everything works fine and I love the app but I can't see any subtitles? If anyone can walk me through the process that would be great because I have no idea what they are saying?

Are the subtitles missing on older episodes, or are you only watching simulcasts right after they are released?

If the latter, keep in mind that the subtitles don't show up on most app releases until sometime later. (7 hours is supposed to be the maximum).

If that isn't the source of your problem, bring this up again in the Samsung TV topic in the Help/Support/Feedback section of the forum.

I just got a Samsung TV, and I'm so excited, I managed to get Crunchyroll to work! The only thing is, the video seems to stop an awful lot to do some "loading." I'm guessing this means there are buffering issues, which I've had occasionally while watching online, just not this often. I hope it's just my internet connection at the moment and that it clears up, because I'm looking forward to finally watching CR while curled up on my couch.
