Can anyone clarify the rules for this contest, please?

Like what format is acceptable. Surely it can't be any sentense that is broken into three lines.

BTW, I know a little bit about the rules for Japanese haikus, i.e. 5-7-5, but I'm not sure how that translates to English haikus.

"Specifically, write some LOVE HAIKU, based on one of the following Crunchyroll titles" is what Sailorbee wrote so no confusion on weather or not it has to be a mixture of both.

She also wrote "Specifically, write some LOVE HAIKU" so I assume that's the main theme.

I'm not sure of the format either but I went with the traditional one of 5-7-5 just to be safe. O^O

For those who need help in understanding how to write a Haiku I'll try to explain. [But google it. That might explain it better.]

Generally you make the first two lines kinda explain a setting,emotion,thought, the theme, etc. Then you make the last line sorta a realization. Example

Words of deep explanation
Its so late at night

Like that. Now I'll explain the 5-7-5 format, for anyone who doesn't know it. Pretty much means the first line is five syllables, the second one is seven, and the third one is five again.
Syllables are basically what builds a word. The word "Crunchyroll" has 3 syllables. "Crun" "Chee" "Roll". That's it I guess. Google though! Ugh I hope I'm not wrong. =/ If I'm am I will be forced to live out the rest of my days as a Magikarp out of embarrassment.
