it is short-lived
I hope you like this original love poem. I personally tried to compare love to the short lived nature of the beautiful sakura (cherry blossom) the 5-7-5 structure is presented in the Japanese version of the poem. |

Its so awesome to see a Chihayafuru and Utakoi contest!!
I'm not really used to writing poetry or haiku's but it's worth a shot.
I loved Chihayafuru so decided to write my haiku and turn it into a karuta card.
The Haiku:
Fleeting like flowers
Petals drifting in the wind
Never whole again

I would enter but I don't watch those two anime shows mainly because the ones I do watch are so time consuming as it is. So I wouldn't know how to fit them into a haiku and since you made it into contest where the viewers decide the winner. It will end up being a popularity contest which puts the odds against introverts like myself.
