So I can raise my blood pressure and cholesterol levels to increase my chance of death, but it taste great nonetheless. Least the instant ones are for that purpose.

Otherwise my parent makes home cooked ramen and soy sauce broth.

No wax it is false don't sweat it. What you have to worry about is the insane sodium levels.

I like to put crushed red pepper in mine to make it spicey. It's so good.

I used to love instant ramen...cooked with real meat, eggs and cheese. My taste changed and this(the pic on this post) is more my speed.

Please tell me where I can get some of that. I've never seen it on the menu at any Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. I want the real thing!

Two Fantastic Ramen shops in NYC . When ever I'm in the city I always stop at one of the ramen shops.

Mitsuwa Market in Edgewater NJ. There are a ton of restaurants connected to the market, but if you want ramen I recommend Santouka.

I have never had luck at a normal Japanese Restaraunt, even the high-end ones like Robotoya do not typically carry ramen. If you want a good bowel you have to go to a ramen shop. It is defiantly worth a pilgrimage to eat your first bowel of true ramen.

I've only been to NYC once. So are these Ramen specific restaurants as in that's their specialty even if they serve other dishes. I live in Raleigh, NC right now so I think I'll have a very hard time finding real ramen. There's lots of Japanese and Thai restaurants, but I have yet to find a ramen restaurant.

Thanks to kamaitachi5587 I have found a place locally that serves "real" ramen. I'm going to go there for either lunch or dinner tomorrow and I will let you all know how it is....
