You really should start from the beginning to get to know everyone because characters and their histories are developed in arcs of about 20-50 episodes. You'll miss out on so much if you start anywhere else but the beginning.

But if you insist, start with either the Alabasta (ep 92) or Skypiea (ep 144) Arcs, I guess.
