i hereby request 2 things to be looked on
1- bitrate compression:
i had netflix for about 1 year now, i had some lag issues, but they updated the app and now i can watch on HD with no problems. i only have about 4megs download and about 400k upload.
crunchyroll its not smooth (havent tested the browserbased player yet) the whole reason i have this is to use it on the ps3. can you please study compression options to decrease the bandwidth needed?

2- resume option
netflix has many series, and one the options i love the most is track down and resume from where you left off.
is annoying to push R2 a bunch of times in crunchy roll to get to the season you were and the figure out what was the last chapter you saw.

since the last patch, the playback has improved, but theres still room for improvement. keep it up guys

Both of these problems have already been discussed in the Playstation 3 thread. http://www.crunchyroll.com/forumtopic-771376/playstation-3

1. The playback issue isn't one caused by bandwidth, it is caused by a combination of other problems that CR is now trying to figure out the best way to go about fixing them. Some of the playback issues can be fixed by tweaking the app, but some of the other problems seem to only be fixable by re-encoding all of the videos which CR said can take several months to do the entire library, however new simulcast episodes will of course be using the new encoding method when released as soon as CR figures out what the best encode is to use. It will be the older episodes and shows that we will have to wait for a re-encode to fix the problems. If they have to re=encode everything, they are looking at tens of thousands of videos and that can take a long time, even with fast server farms to do the grunt work.

2. This has been noted and CR is aware of the problem. Since it is lower priority compared to the other issues (Mainly the app crashing and locking up PS3s) this may be on the back burner for now, however CR has at least said that it should be fixed in an upcoming patch. At least the app quickly scrolls through the episodes so you can get back to where you were quickly.
