I believe that they were actually experiencing time-skip to the future, and Hades is the future Akira. There are some clue regarding Akira and Hades similarity, one of them is Hades seems had experiencing everything Akira cs does, and their shoes look pretty similar to me. Maybe in Hades timeline, Akira lost all of his friends, thus made him mad.
In the latest chapter, Rion confirm my speculation by hinting the anagram in the name of the island : Raika. Hades probably name the island himself with the anagram of his previous name, Akira, as her mother love to play anagram and code. what do you guys think?

That is the most original theory that I have ever seen for Cage of Eden. It's really out of the world and mindblowing, but then and again nothing is impossible. Time skip is almost confirmed now, but Hades being Akira is out of the question for me. That's because he caused Kouhei Arita to murder everyone, which is not something Akira can do ever, even if he's got mad after losing all his previous friends. Then and again, Arita was following Hades back in the center of the island monument arc...... does Arita know something that we don't?

I actually think that the person watching them is Hades.

Also, another monster seems to be coming soon. And there's some organism that is on Rion's shoes now. Finally back to the creepy Cage of Eden that has disappeared for a few dozen bunch of chapters.

Cage of Eden ending is really disappointing but i figured it'd be ending soon considering what they recently found.

Ever since they beat the Chimeras & Nishikiori, the series felt like it was coming to a close since they knew how to deal with nearly every creature on the island, and all there was left to do was find out the truth about their situation.

..it's been "confirmed" that they're in the future, and that Akira's mom is connected to the island in some way.

3 chapters from the end? aw lol, anyway i'm looking forward to how they are going to end this... i don't how how they could do it in a good way in only 3 chapters

EDIT: I JUST CAUGHT UP WITH THE MANGA. >.< I think 3 chapters is not enough to explain all the un-answered questions.

I think that this manga is heading towards a rushed ending. Admittedly, it started off very well and was pretty much one of my favourite manga somewhere in the middle but I think towards the end of the Nishikiori arc I couldn't help but feel that Cage of Eden was letting me down. They started to drag out the chapters, delaying the inevitable time where they were supposed to reveal the answers, especially with the sickness and stuff. I can't see a good ending happening for this manga unless there is something ridiculous thing that brings them back into their time, but of course going into the future was ridiculous in the first place.

What I'm pretty irritated about, however, is the fact that there will be no closure to Arita Kouhei and Hades if it does indeed end in 2 more chapters. Kouhei should have stayed dead, and they shouldn't have prolonged Nishikiori's arc (thank god he is dead) but rather focus on Hades become the ultimate antagonist or something like that. Now, it seems that it is axed and most likely we will never have the answers for that.

185 is out on mangastream, that ending... left quite a few things unanswered, for example, WHY DID they get send into the future in the first place, and what BY?! i'm sure i'm not the only one unsatisfied by this ending..

I am so angry at this ending , so much unanswered question like what about Hades and Kouhei Arita ?
