I don't.

Taiga is an unforgivable bitch. It's neither funny nor cute when she gets abusive. I don't enjoy humor that stems from the male lead getting abused.

Tsunderes can be explained using one word.

MOE

Don't know. I agree with what was stated above that its probably because they are "moe." They even combine two moe personalities into one package, so they can't fail. It gives something to fans who like shy, timid girls and it gives something to fans who like cool, independent girls.

I always really liked Taiga as a tsundere character - but I think its often portrayed in a more unique way with male characters. (LIke Kyo from Fruits Basket or Fujimoto from Kobato) NOTE: I'm a guy. I'm not saying I like male tsunderes, just that they tend to be more unique . . .

I was always a bigger fan of emotionless girls (like Yuki Nagato), but thats just me

The amount of abuse pays off in a nice reward of affection?

Maybe we just imagine a girl who can be "hot 'n' cold" to us. Having too much "hot" or "cold" can put people off.

Risk vs. Reward

When a Nice girl is nice to you well, that's nice but it's not much of a jump from how she normally acts.

But a girl who normally comes off somewhat hostile towards you shows you a sweet side it's a much bigger jump in reaction, it provides a bigger impact. You feel a much bigger sense of progression because it's a much bigger change from her outward behavior.

Some people like to play with fire.

I don't like tsunderes at all.. And I am wondering why anyone would like someone who's hitting a character in the face.

I do not mind a girl who doesn't show her feeling and tries to push her loved away. I don't mind them, but I don't hate them.

The only ones I have problems with are those who physically abuse the characters. So I do have problems with Taiga, why would anyone like a character who keeps kicking your face into a wall, breaking your nose? Isn't that fun, though you could get the same experience by going to a gangster and spitting on his boots, if you've yet to experience the feeling of being smashed into a stone wall, you can try it out yourself, by running headfirst into a wall... And after that you have to make the girl food who just broke your nose.

If people act like they want a Tsundere in real life they've never dated then. Girls who act like tsundere are real bitches, guys can get away with it to a certain degree but woman it's annoying.

But tsundere's are my favorite type for anime girls. Taiga, the blonde from MM! Love these girls, and glad I'll never meet them.

Its the fiery streak in them that is exhilarating and that they are still a little bit vulnerable without loosing their independence. More Tsun Tsun than Dere Dere in my book, basically can hold their own and do not need you to do everything for them but still like having you around. Cause you know they don't like you THAT much or anything...Baka.
