Buildings built on earthquake fault lines kill people, unless they are built specifically to handle severe earthquakes. That right there convinced that that this article is not worth reading. The author either doesn't understand what she's talking about or she's not expressing herself properly. Despite that, she makes some valid points about building codes.

Sadly, do kill people, you are saved if they are gentle enough or you just lucky. =) No matter how strong the building is it will fall if the quake is stronger... It's like a huge gorilla shaking a tree.. He will get the bananas I tell you. XD
