Portland Anime Club
|
I think it's a shame with all the conventions coming up I can't find any local cosplayers/anime nerds! I just moved to Beaverton Or and I think it's necessary a club get started, any takers?
We can meet up at different shops at first and then figure out a good meeting place to talk about shows, read manga, play games any of that stuff. |

There are anime clubs at portland community college and portland state university. woo higher education! Also the staff of kumori-con are pretty nerd-tastic! xD

I think that it's totally about time that we had an anime group in Portland. I know we have a couple at local colleges but I am so not in college anymore and don't want to look like a total creeper. Besides not sure if you have to be a student to participate in those in any case. Going to AX again this year for the second time and can't wait!!!

I've been looking for some anime friends in Portland. I'd be more than happy to meet up to talk about anime and maybe starting up a group!

You guys should go to Kinokuniya in Beaverton, OR. They're a nice partner of ours. I'm planning to visit Sakura Con Seattle and would be neat to have a fun drive up the coast. Are there any anime conventions in OR? My friends and I want to travel to more events

I know there's kumoricon in Portland during the summer. I think going up to seattle for Sakura con is a great idea. I suggest that anyone who is interested in the club should say so. We can meet up and figure out how we want this group to work (like setting up monthly meeting and events etc...)

I'm local to portland but I work in beaverton 5 days a week and my bOI lives in beaverton. I actually regularly hold crafting parties especially right now for cosplay and the like. me and some friends are gearing up for our trip to seattle for sakuracon.
we are here , we just may not be obvious. Let me know what you would like to do/ get involved in and might be able to share some good information with you. I wish you the best in your geek journeys. Evey~ |
