I think alot of Japanese people would be disappointed to visit a Denny's here in the states...they are known around these parts to be best served at 2am and coming down from a good buzz.
Most of those burgers pictured just looked crazy to me and not really appetizing - and here I thought the US had cornered the market for a heart attack on a bun.

I think I will just stick with Sonics plain old cheeseburger and some mozzarella sticks for the win.

The Japanese actually have a couple of restaurants that are referred to as "Japanese Denny's". One of them is Gyuemon. The other is a chain called Joyfull. Both are open 24 hours in some places, although all Joyfull's to my knowledge are open 24 hours.

The food is remarkably different than a Denny's, but they try.

I remember there was a restaurant by the lake in Ohori Park in Fukuoka and they had plastic replicas of pancakes and sausage and a BLT with fries. I thought it was pretty funny.

I'd like to try out all of these foods, despite the fact that I'm trying to go on a diet.

nah i think that is just a waste of money. if their 'premium' fast food range costs that much then i rather go eat in a decent restaurant >_>

looks pretty tasty, i heard their fast food is like double the cost it is in america though.

It depends on what fast food place you are talking about, honestly.

McDonalds here (Makudo's) is equivalent to what we have in the states as far as price. However, don't go in to a McDonalds and expect to get a 32 oz drink. It won't happen.

Then you go to someplace like KFC (which is synonymous with Christmas here for whatever reason) and the price skyrockets. I went to one and got a 'two person box'. It cost me 2500 yen. That's 30 bucks or so.. for Japanese chicken!

Then you go someplace like Hotto Motto and the food is all dirt cheap. And delicious.

$30... For chicken... I don't even...

Not even the chicken buckets you get at a KFC in the US.. this was just for a two person box. So, two sandwiches, two sides (which I somehow ended up with three biscuits., which all had holes in the middle of them like a donut) and two drinks.

At KFC in the states, you pay what, 10 bucks for two of the little meals and maybe close to 20 for the family bucket meals?

That's just... Don't even know how I would react to that crying and anger come to mind. I hope they were freaking delicious for that price, like "they best chicken sandwich you ever had" kind of delicious.

Pretty much, maybe a lot less because they have deals every so often, except Hot Wings, those little bastards are expensive. The meal boxes may be cheaper though maybe like 5 or 6 bucks for a drink, 2 pieces of chicken and two sides, I think.

Yeah, I feel like I wasted my yen on that venture. The chicken wasn't amazing or anything, although it was a weird sandwich. It was called a Chicken Wa-fu sandwich and had katsu-type chicken cutlet, mayo, shredded cabbage and honey on it. It was tasty, but really grease laden (like more than the KFC in the states uses) and not worth 30 bucks. The biscuit was strange because it was donut shaped and not at all fluffy like the biscuits at home. It was kind of like having a donut made from filo dough.

Like I said, weird. I tried it once to say I had tried it. Now I really need to find a Pizza Hut to try.

Wow, yup I think crying on the inside would be my reaction to that. They have chicken katsu sanwiches here in Hawaii, but only in Japanese bento places, and minus all those toppings.

I would be worries about trying Pizza from other countries, seen bizarre foods and other travel channel shows and those worry me.

Those burgers' names sound cool, "Mega Tomago" . I gotta say some of them don't look too appetizing but I would be willing to try them. I thought making the cheesy bites pizza was bad enough but that Bacon Wrapped Sausage Crust Mini Hamburger Pizza looks
Though I don't like to drink coffee, the jelly frappuccino looks delicious, yum!

Some things aren't meant to be fast food. Foie gras burger? Steak and truffle pizza? I know fast food chains often sell stuff abroad that's way more expensive than in the US ($2 burger here might be $15 in Europe - speaking from experience) but that's really pushing it.

I would like to try the shrimp burger, though.
