Not really. I've heard of Manga Messiah and the Action Bible, but I haven't heard of like, Christian Fiction in manga. What exactly did you receive? I'm curious.  |

Hopefully you like them. Most christian manga tend to have a dated art style but the message should still get across. |

I remember seeing manga version of the Bible at Kinokuniya bookstore in San Francisco.
I've heard of Christian manga, but I haven't seen it personally. It must be very niche.
Anyway, your family knows what you like and it's better than some lame gift nobody wants.

could you provide the name of the manga the author and artist names? ive looked a bit here and there and thought christian values in manga and anime would be pure awesomeness. but never really looked that hard id be incredibly greatfull if you could help me out here.
as it is its hard to find good anime that avoid ecchi completely (tho all the best ones ive found with the deepest and best stories have essentially none (or it only happened once and since i dont really pay attention to fanservice etc i didnt notice it)).
tho lately things have been getting worse in the sexualization department. (for any non christiants reading this im not judging you im just saying i dont like it myself and avoid it where possible).

I'm a bit agnostic myself, but from what I've seen regarding niches like that, the result is actually very readable, and even something that I might recommend to people who are a little taken aback by the titles that you would normally find the manga section of say; B&N or something for instance. Although, it's always up to the reader, they can decide that the point is overdrawn as well...not so good.
I guess the push to popular media for spreading a message of faith is nothing new, and it's not like the art work doesn't take any effort.
If you like that kind of thing, thank them accordingly, hunt stores and the web for it, read and enjoy. =]
