Each time i rewatch bits of Clannad on youtube, and even if i have forgotten some of the storyline, i find myself crying like a little girl. and i'm a manly man with a stache and everything. would appreciate it if other anime besides Clannad and elfen lied were posted here though.

as sad as Clannad was, Air is definitely more sad. the anime is pretty much one depressing event after the next, all with sad/bittersweet conclusions. Clannad at least had a happy ending, Air didn't.

Grave of the fireflies had me in tears. I still haven't rewatched it to this day.
Elfen Lied was a sad story, especially the ending for the anime.
Sket Dance, learning about Switch's past. I don't deny crying there, it just makes you wonder about people in the world.
Death Note, L and the various people who aided him before they fell. Very emotional scenes.
The ichigo vs ulquiorra fight, stark & harribel scenes were also emotional.
Mostly it's scenes or a story twist rather than a whole anime.

Mine would be Clannad, I watched Angel Beats but for some reason even though the story really got to me i didn't cry once. When i watched Clannad i cried for pretty much 5-6 hours straight while watching the last episodes and the movie. And as i know a lot of people here on CR got really sad from Angel Beats and many of them will probably label me as a uncaring cold-hearted twat i would like to say that i find this wrong as i cried during the endings of over 70% of my animes watched.
