Well. I finished. My eyes are red, my kleenex box is barren and my man-card is in tatters, but I finished.

Nagi-Asu will remain one of my favorite animes of all time.
They foreshadowed it so much but I still didnt expect it. The soundtrack of Nagi-Asu is, in my opinion, the main reason this show is so great. It's one of the few shows where I had to immediately go find the OST on youtube.

A good soundtrack makes or breaks sad scenes in anime. Can you imagine any of the sad scenes silent? It just wouldn't have the same impact. For example, during the part with Manaka in the whirlpool they played https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5YDxZqRV3A and now I tear up a little everytime I hear it. So many other great songs from that OST as well.

Currently working on Nagi No Asukara right now. Pretty sure after this I'm going to need to see something violent to restore my manhood.

This is how I look at it. Having a show bring out your fatherly/protective instincts towards a character makes you more of a man than violence. Violence is for boys.

But I still love me some good violence.

After Clannad, and soon to be Nagi No Asukara, I'd say it's well deserved. =)
