Hii everybody, I was just wondering and wanting to ask some questions,

How many Cons have you attended?

How was your first or best Con experience?

How do you feel about making new friends at Con and keeping contact?

1 - As for me I've only attended 1 Con so far and plan on many more!

2 - My first Con(animegacon) experience was amazing and I have to say that is definitely life changing for me and i will be writing up about my experience in my blog later so i'll spare you guys lol

3 - How I feel about making friends, I really enjoy it - it's kind of far and few in between for me to find like-minded friends that I can openly talk about anime with without getting called "loser" or "freak" and i'm open to keep contact for local meet ups or future cons

bonus question:

Do you notice anything you did not like about Con's? individuals, this and that?

How many? 2 cons for me

First con experience? Amazing mine was AnimExpo in LA and it was worth every penny spent. Just attended AniMegacon in Vegas and it was awesome. The shows and video rooms were great feature compared to Expo because it was different. A little smaller but still worth every penny.

New friends and contact? If they are local I dont mind at all and like you it is hard to find other people who you can talk about anime with aand actually enjoy talking to them about it. But if you know youll keep contact sure why not?

Nice! I originally wanted my first Con to be at Anime expo but problems with time/money and then I found out about Animegacon because of Kim er "Ani" and thought to myself "sure, why not it's close enough" and turns out to be worth every penny for me too! Now I'm pretty much going to attend Saboten and high chance of going to Anime Vegas.

Do you notice anything you did not like about Con's? individuals, this and that?

For me not really anything I disliked persay. Cosplay is great specially the robot with the speakers at AniMegacon was awesome there is always something somewhat special that has happened to the 2 that I have went too and I know its not much to base that assumption off of but hey hopefully that assumption is right! The people are generally nice specially vendors and there not just trying to seel things to you either you can actually talk about the anime with them like we do on here. Its just a great experience and the enviornment is one of the best parts about it. But I have only been too 2 so hopefully they future events will be just as good or better!

ChinaBean you've got to go to every con you can, I plan on checking out Phoenix Comic Con and the other anime con in Flagstaff NEAR YOU!

Making friends who are into the same things are always fun, which is why I also attend other conventions like horror, film, cars, hookah, etc.

Some bad things I notice about conventions are volunteers who don't know anything about their specific place theyre volunteering at, but since its all con crazyness and programs always change, i guess its ok

Come to San Diego Anime Conji April 2013, good meeting ya in vegas, wish I had more time to chill

I'm planning on it! My next con will be Saboten(AZ's biggest anime con) and anime vegas after that most likely before the holidays

Yeah I noticed that too - a simple walk through pre-con would fill those gaps as well as more communication via texting each other or walkie talkies but things do change for sure so it's all good at least they are trying "I don't know, but let me try and find out for you real quick" is what count and not just say "i don't know" maybe I might be able to volunteer for Jlist ;)

My bday is in April and that's close enough for me to attend so I will probably attend that too

1) -Desucon 3 times -Coscon 2-3 times -Soracon 2-3 times

2) I was a bit scared the first time I went to Desucon. it's the biggest convention in Scandinavia and I went there with a friend who isn't really a fan of anime or cosplay at all, but she was there to support me

3) I haven't really made any friends at a con.. I'm too shy to talk to anyone there it would be great if I got some cosplaying friends sometime though :3

I started going to cons last January, (MAGfest 2012) in total I've gone to seven and I LOVE THEM! I'm super busy but I've been working on a few cosplays so I don't stand out as much ^_^

1. Anime Banzai 4 (09-12), Anime Vegas 2(10-11), AX 2(11-12), Anime Salt Lake 0 (going to 13 which is early next year.)

2. AX first time, went with a lot of friends and met several online friends for the first time there. Also the shopping there was ridiculously huge and interesting.

3. Never made any good friends at a con, only people I talked to while waiting in line for some event or panel.

My first convention was New York Comic Con/Anime Festival back in 2010. Since then I have attended Anime Expo 2011 and 2012. Next year I will be attending Anime Expo again and possibly Dragoncon or Otakon.

I've made about 2 new friends so far from these conventions. I don't actively chat with them but we hang out a lot at Anime Expo. Plus I also have the people that I was already friends with online prior to starting to attend conventions that I hang out with at them as well.

I've been to Naka- kon, Nebraskon and Acen a few different times. My first con blew my mind. It was amazing. My last cosplay was Catherine, from the game Catherine, and it' s probably my favorite so far. I loved making friends who were also fans of the game. I' m glad you had a great con experience, Chinabean. I hope you have many more.
