bloodyangelv2 39050 cr points Send Message: 20 / M Online	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 8/21/12 Heya, I know this idea might have been suggested before but I tried using the search function if its been suggested but it seems like I didn't see any topics about it or I typed the wrong thing in the search area. Anyway, I would like suggest to add a "Light Off/On" feature on the Video Playback for Premium members or Free for all. I know this idea has been being used on other websites but I think it will be a good idea to help the members enjoy their anime or drama with a proper dark coloured area around or outside the video player instead of the "white" background of Crunchyroll, since not a lot of people watch their anime or drama at full screen. This idea will also help think that user are actually feeling like that they are watching their anime/drama/movie in a movie theatre due to this feature. If you think this idea is not really a good idea then feel free to say why and this idea is purely about my opinion on how to improve the entertainment on Crunchyroll.

Do a lot of people really not watch their videos in full screen? I've seen this feature at other sites (i.e., Funimation, Hulu), so apparently there is a call for it. The only reason I can think of someone wanting this is if they were multi-tasking, unless your other windows also were dark, I don't see how it would help in such a situation. Also, with subtitled anime, dividing your attention would seem to mean something was suffering (either your appreciation of the anime or whatever other task you were doing).
