It would be best to use the browser on your PS3 for this, so that you could see what speed it is getting, as it might differ from your overall internet speed. |

Yes, that's my real age.

I have a fat 60GB (upgraded to 750GB) PS3. It is hardwired to the router. I have Comcast as my internet provider.
Yesterday I watched two episodes of Sword Art Online without any hiccups at all. Then I tried to watch one episode of Squid Girl and it crashed after five minutes. I tried to watch the same episode again and my PS3 froze up completely. |

but also another issue is that you have to be a premium user to even sign into the damn app. I would rather go to the internet and log into crunchyroll there than rather using the app...

Love my growing manga collection :D

I have the 120gig PS3 Slim, use wireless, connection is 12mbps dsl. I just tested the new update and I feel that the video did run smoother, I was able to watch ep. 7 of Humanity has Declined without problems in the video. However when I exited that video and tried to go watch YuruYuri ep8, I went to YuruYuri and started to scroll through the episodes to get to 8 and suddenly the app crashed. The ps3 hardware made a single beep and then the screen went black and it was completely frozen and I couldn't exit the app or do anything and I had to go press the power button to turn off the PS3 before it would work again.

For the re-encoding that's going on, can we get some kind of checklist that's updated when a show is done? So I can quickly check back and see when Angel Beats is done, for example?

I ran into that in the first update. it may have something to do with the memory flushing issue Bjaker spoke of. just because it hasn't been 2 hours doesn't mean it's impossible. Also i have a 160GB PS3 slim. it has been refurbished about 3 times thanks to a screw up when they made it, and another 2 times when they tried fixing it. I am using a wireless connection as my PS3 is too far away from the router to use a wired connection. My signal strength is full as nothing is grayed out and my PS3 is in the room directly above the router. The only way i can use a wired connection without moving my PS3 is to drill a hole in my ceiling. The distance is roughly 34" with a straight line around corners and that would make for allot of moving around the wire. if i had the Ethernet wire correctly hooked up to my walls i would need around 100" of cable just to hook it up to my PS3(lost of twists and turns and rooms to pass trough). I have Comcast and my speed on my pc is 29.96Mbps download and 4.11Mbps Upload(paid for 20Mbps download and 4Mbps upload). Boston Massachusetts speed http://www.speedtest.net/result/2134638049.png San Fransico California speed http://www.speedtest.net/result/2134664653.png and http://www.speedtest.net/result/2134668765.png , I'll edit my post with my PS3 speed test in about an hour(done). my PS3 speeds are 8.1 download and 2.0 upload i can't use speedtest.net because it needs flash 10 to work, so i used the internet connection test in the network settings of my XMB. |
