While watching saint seiya omega, the subtitles will lag in displaying. No freezing, just a lag in subtitle display.

PS3 crashed once while trying to watch the latest episode of fairy tail. Worked fine afterwards.. and was able to watch it.. so i don't know why it crashed...

Aside from this, i've been able to enjoy using the app. Keep up the good work.

Edit:

I would also like to suggest the implementation of "seasons" on the ps3 app. It would be nice to have it to see what shows came out that particular season instead of having to look it up online and then searching through the alphabetical list to see if you guys have it. Thanks

Edit 2:
While skipping to the next episode of The Knight in the Area, fast forwarding and then rewinding slowly, PS3 froze. (By rewinding slowly i mean pressing L2 repeatedly instead of holding it)

What kind of PS3™ do you have? Fat 40GB (this is a first gen ps3 if that helps any)

Is your PS3™ Wired or on Wi Fi? WiFi and my signal strength is almost usually at full or 80%

What kind of Internet Service do you have and what is your max speed on the account? Comcast (speed test below)




i'd also like to add that on longer running anime while i'm browsing the app tends to crash or the names and pictures don't catch up and i'm not able to start the anime with out backing out of the selection and going back in.

I'm using the app in Argentina.

I just can't understand why in the first release of the application the spanish subtitles were shown. Now whith the update, I can't get the spanish subtitles. But the worse thing is, that the same goes for my cell phone and my Kindle Fire: both of them used to work perfectly in spanish before the update. So I don't think that the language issue is because the service is not official in some countries: I think is because something went wrong with the new version of the app. That applies like I said before, in PS3 and Adroid devices such as my phone and my Kindle Fire.

As far as I know, the service is official here in my country, and you already charged me five dollars for a service that I can't enjoy at 100% since the subtitles problem. I'm starting to lose my patience.

Everything else is working ok. The audio sync, the image quality, everything is perfect. I'm using PS3 80gb with 6mbps internet connection via WIFI.

Slim....videos dont want to load
At&t dsl connection...connected thru wifi for PS3
Speed connection...second to the highest on their speed caliber.
Problem: video is not loading at most times...cant watch any animes and dramas.
R2 for fast forward...not working.

Crunchyroll itself is "official" in Argentina, but the PS3 app is not. It has only been released in the U.S. and Canada PSN Store thus far.

Ok, so explain me then why the first release was actually able to show content and subtitles in spanish!

What would that have to do with the PSN stores where the app was made available?

In the event you are not aware, the United States has a significant Spanish speaking population, which would explain why it would be there.

As to why it was not in the second release, It is possible that the second language support was removed as it was creating an issue that CR did not have time to resolve while pushing out the update as quickly as possible.

If you were in the United States (or Canada), and complaining about the removal of Spanish subs, you would have good standing. Likewise the same would be true if the app were available in the PSN Store for your country, and not just the U.S. and Canada.

wi-fi but it is right near the router so the connection is very strong.

Kokoro Connect wont display anything just shows spinning circle,also on Natsuyuki Rendevous and likely many others as well

It was a bug. People getting Spanish subtitles were getting them whether they wanted them or not.

The subtitle language selection feature is not yet in place, but they have said they plan to have that for the expansion of territories that they hope to do this fall.

Regarding the memory leak issue, I do hope you guys are aware the problems seems to also occur during when shifting through titles, not just continuous playback of the titles. After a large amount of shifting through the titles, the app becomes extremely laggy/sluggish, to the point it also affects video playback. I know people have mentioned this in the past, but I'd like to make note the issue exists here as well. I actually recorded a video through my capture device to showcase the exact problem. If crunchyroll wants to see what this issue is exactly, I'll be more than helpful to upload it.

As for problems currently, nothing major. I am getting a couple video issues, one in which I'm getting screen tearing near the top of the screen (so far only observed in Digimon Xros Wars, may exist in other encodes as well) whenever there is a screen transition. Doesn't seem to happen in motion, however. The second is on some encodes, the bottom of the screen, there is a video line, which I'm wondering if it's the result of the video encoding, less the app itself (I think it can be caused due to the aspect ratio/resolution of the video, and may be how the 480p videos are encoded). It's nothing major, and for the most part is unnoticeable.

I'm using a 120GB slim model, with the most up to date firmware.

I can't seem to find this info everywhere, but is it possible to turn off subtitles for the PS3?
