Update:

After setting that mature content is allowed in my preferences on the CR site.
And restarting my PS3 after the last hang. Things started working correctly.
Both series that were causing issues no longer did and both played back fine.

So all that is left now is 720p or 1080p versions of anime shows. SD doesn't look that great on a large HDTV.

Having issues on my ps3 slim 160gb using wifi.
Recently it had been stuck when I try playing videos, it would show the loading icon, attempt to load, but then return to the menu.
Now it either does that, or crashes altogether, sometimes even when simply browsing episode menus.

I really do enjoy the service, but the whole reason I subscribed was for getting the comfort of being able to stream on my tv using my ps3, kinda sad I'm stuck at my desktop until another patch comes (and hopefully fixes these issues).

but Dakara ep12 from my history causes a black screen and a hung ps3 every-time when I tried to play that episode.

Looks like Dakara and Nakaimo from my history both make the ps3 hang.
Oddly enough when I try to access them from the regular section, it says not available, please try again later.
CR happens to consider both of them mature content. Might be a limitation of the app at the moment.

But HD and not making the PS3 hang is a requirement before the app can be considered worth using.

I found that by going to the Web site and changing the settings to allow mature content, I managed to stop those kinds of hangs. I still get other hangs (as mentioned in my post here earlier), but it seems to be a problem when you have mature content in your queue but you haven't generally approved mature content.

I'm really hoping for a patch soon. The PS3 app is really buggy. There's the mature content bug, the browsing bug I reported, and then there's problems with some shows not playing.

This is kind of unfortunate since my PS3 is my primary way of viewing Crunchyroll (and why I subscribed). I'd like to scroll past the Bount arc in Bleach, but because of the browsing bug, I can't.

720p 1080p is a must option

250gb upgrade to 500gb slim
Wired through gig network interface
ISP Service: Verizon FiOS 150 Mbps down / 65 Mbps up

Since update have not noticed much issues but only have watched content I know is only 480p at best. Otherwise I use my computer to get the 1080p content.

Additions I would like to see moving forward if possible:
1) High def options (hulu does it base on bandwidth but you can definitely see the difference)
2) Ability to rate the show as you're watching it
3) optional ability to make a quick comment on the show and see others
4) Ability for what you watched on the PS3 app to count towards CR achievements (this isn't a big deal but for some reason I like to get the achievements)

My experience with the app has been outstanding. Sure, it has crashed a few times. But not enough to complain about. Oh, for some reason there was one instance where I was locked out of watching one episode so I watched on my laptop. And like the poster said above me, if you could add CR achievements for the service I would be beside myself with joy.

Fat 160, wired, 6Mb DSL. Has been working fine, but last night, streaming Broken Blade, any pause greater than 10 seconds desynced the audio from the video.

I've got a Slim 120G(well, maybe a 160G ...can't check right now) and it freezes/goes black constantly, WiFi and wired on DSL. The WiFi said it was doing 6.1Mbps which NetFlix is generally flawless with. I think it was rating the signal strength at 70%. I've reinstalled the app once but it's the same or worse even.

Ok, so as a follow-up...(kind a thought someone would have replied by now ). I have whatever says a slim "149G" in the system info.

Anyway, I was considering that it might be my router. It's a 54 Mbps and ~5 plus years old. I removed the router and fed the modem straight to the PS3 and playback was quick and continuous. However, after I reinstalled the router it continued to play well over wireless. One might think that somehow the router and or modem were reset somehow by breaking the connection.I don't know. There might be some distinction between that change and the fact that the router and modem are power cycled just about every day that allowed it to play properly. Like maybe a table was rebuilt in the modem or something(the router will expect to be behind the modem but the modem doesn't always lead to router as was the case on this one occasion). I did all this without checking the app's current status beforehand. For all I know some other factor may have cleared up the issue before I began. So much for the diagnostic approach.

160GB PS3 Slim
WiFi, UMass Amherst (pretty damn fast,)100% Signal Strength

My major problem is the app's instability. It's crashed on me numerous times, whether it be because I'm rewinding or pausing or changing videos. It's also crashed so hard that I've had to have my hard drive formatted twice now (as Sony told me it was the only course of action to fix my problem with not being able to access the XMB anymore.)

I signed up for a 1 month free trial a while ago and the app was really shaky at best, and while on my current 1 month trial the video playback errors are gone, but the instability is still there and more volatile than ever. I lost all of my game saves and it was insanely inconvenient. I hope that you resolve these issues in the near future as I'd love to pay for your service since it streams better on my PS3 than it does my PC, but until the crashing stops, my subscription will stop at the end of the 30 days.
