Bows and Magic don't exist in the game although it is possible for characters to dual-wield (Kirito gets the skill that allows the system to assist his second sword and use Dual Wield skills. As far as we know this is a Unique Skill but any other player could equip two weapons - they just wont' get system assist on the second weapon), throw anything (only weapons get system assist) and wield any sort of melee item. The system is focused on melee combat so you wouldn't be using throwing arms as your main weapons.

Anyone who made a magic-user should be ashamed of themself, unless they used some knowledge of light novel material not yet mentioned in the anime adaptation (dunno if there is any about magic), or they wrote their character as a competent cracker/hacker (which was what I was gonna do if I had time to finish my entry...lol). And although archery doesn't exist, it could easily be explained as "holding a bow-shaped stick/sword with one hand and throwing an arrow with the other hand."

The rules within the SAO universe kinda limit you to human. An SAO OC would be limited to the rules of the SAO universe. And as far as I know, SAO does not include ponies playing VR games. What you got there is more of a OC in a crossover between MLP and SAO

Online	Permalink Reply Quote Posted 9/3/12 Classes Anyhow people talk about mages, lancers, and archers and such But at SAO there's no "class" if you remember the first..firsts? episode, the 'leader' claimed himself as a knight, and then people laughed saying "is not like we have classes"...........so pretty much everyone who say is of a specific class is wrong too xD but then people just did that was for fun right?:3 Archers and Mages eh i have played lots of MMOs, archers are pretty much a common class just like swordsmen, i might be wrong to think archer was acceptable since we don't use any kind of magic just shoot, so sorry there if my entry was wrong, i like playing as archer so i thought i could put one at SAO too, Still i think i wasn't the only one who thought that way so... well point of views are hard to tell eh? we could ask the SAO idea creator his/her opinion maybe? (maybehe/shesimplydontlikearchersatallLol) [anyhow a reason why you don't' see many/any archers could be that people changed equips since archering is quite Hard to handle and your life depend on your skills, so swords and shields are the "best" option so you could defend yourself alone] BUT mages or any kind of pure-magical skill is pretty much forbidden, guess anyone who have watched at last an episode know Unless they didn't pay attention to that single line... you know if someone didn't notice they saying "magic is not allowed" and keep watching and saw "magical swords" then "magical skills" the person Would think there's magic.... Specially because the "user motion" create a light that can be easily mistaken to a magic skill xD; Races Races weren't mentioned but on beginning there had few "pointy" ears that might be elf or something like that making people think races were at SAO too, still by a certain episode i think they can have mounts/riding pets, like horses; so a horse OC shouldn't be really fitting the contest...
