The only person who will go down in history as being more important to the advancement of space travel is Yuri Gagarin.

RIP an idol and hero of men.

RIP spaceman.
Posted 8/26/12
I don't see him as a hero or great man like others are typing down, but I do hope he's resting in peace. My condolences to his family.

One of the men who has inspired lots of people to get interested about space and the universe.
I hope for him to find peace, he'll be missed by many people.

I can imagine the types of minds that wouldn't care about his efforts.

Which type is yours?

He did not land on a "Planet". He was the first man on the Moon, big difference!

Whether people say Moon or Planet...either way, he helped the human race as a whole to look at the stars with a new curiosity. Him along with others helped many to inspire to pursue degrees and jobs with NASA and other jobs that has helped mankind as a whole with new technologies. I hope that we can get the Space Program back here in the U.S.A. That was another sad day to hear that we did away with launches here in the country.

I understand what you are trying to say but it is still wrong. When Christopher Columbus discovered America he thought it was India. Even though America was an "Unknown" location it was definitely NOT India. Just like how the Moon is not a Planet.
