Underage. Wouldn't drink if I could (legally), anyways. I like to refrain from putting potentially harmful things in my body if I can help it.

Unlike a certain relative, I do not literally live off of beer and cigarettes.

I choose not to drink as
1: it can make you do unbelievably stupid and dangerous things (I know a guy who thought it would be a great idea to drive his motorcycle over 3 parked cars without a helmet, years later he's physically fine but ever since he's not been the sharpest tool in the shed- unless you knew him prior to the incident you'd never know. I came from a small village so everyone knows him.

2: you feel not only like crap the next but like rats with C-diff have climbed up or down every orrifice in your body the day after a binge

3: alcohol related diseases cost the NHS millions a year diseases caused by alcohol are as follows
Drunken head injury can lead to brain haemorrhaging and permanent mental/ physical damage
Pancreatitis
Alcoholic liver disease
Abdominal ascites
Gastric /duodenal ulcer ( if your lucky it'll get noticed before it bursts if it does you will vomit blood)
Korsokoffs alcohol related dementia
Alcoholic varises- engorged veins in your oesophagus which can burst- cue exorcist style vomit only blood instead of puke.

Oh and let's not forget falling on your face and breaking your nose or knocking out your front teeth again I've seen this happen to a friend of mine- she only knocked out her teeth
This is a happy list of some things that can happen to not only alcoholics but regular binge drinkers(people who drink large amounts at weekend regularly)

Enjoy alcohol sensibly I'm no saying don't drink as it can be enjoyable and keep getting blottered to special occasions
I was no angel when I was growing up from a very young age I got pissed on regular basis but like most things you grow out of it, now I can stand the taste of the stuff and I used to be able to drink whiskey (proper Scottish whiskey ) straight from the bottle. I will freely admit I wAs a stupid wee lassie who wouldn't listen to her betters and got into some umm lets say various situations not all good or funny.
Working in a hospital I've seen many young lives ruined or ended due to ETOH.

I'll take straight scotch over a "sex on the beach" any day on a hot second. I hate overly sugary and colorful drink. Having said that I'd like to say that I drink on a regular basis. I don't understand this fascination that people have about cramming as much alcohol into their bodies as quickly as possible in order to "get wasted". Tried it once, because college and came to the conclusion that I was indeed right the whole time and that things like "chugging" or "shots" or "shot gunning" are idiotic. Drinking was never that big of a deal in my household even when I was a kid so when I turned 21 I didn't even go out. I take that back, I did go out, I got a call from a friend who was way to drunk for her own good and I got to pick her up so that she didn't drunkenly drive to her place...stupid stupid people....

Yes. Mostly tequila or vodka shots with friends and wine when we run out of everything else.

I drink more than I should. Not a big party goer nor do I frequent bars or pubs.
I do tend to have people over quite a bit and I really enjoy drinking with close friends. I rarely get "hammered" but I'll get a nice buzz going and that will be it for me. I would say on an average week i'll have 3-5 beers at least 3 times a week.
I also do enjoy having a couple beers while i'm playing video games.

I drink to enjoy, not to get drunk. Would love to try the Bloody Bull, though. Sherry is pretty handy for Asian cooking, but would love to try rice wine or sake.
