Sometimes they do. Like AHTL it entirely depends on the licensing agreement. For instance, "Steins;Gate" was simulcast on CR, but that expired after Funimation bought the distribution rights. So, it's no longer on CR.  |

Same Thing goes with Deadman Wonderland. But at least Fairy Tail is still on Crunchyroll.

Some do. The contracts vary by publisher. Some expire because they were licensed by another publisher (i.e., Funimation) and the publisher (i.e., Kadokawa) had terms in their contract that allow them to pull it from CR if it happens. With other series, CR may still be permitted to stream the series. Still others expire even if they were not licensed at the time.
Since at least some time in 2011, if a title or titles are about to expire, CR posts a topic in the Site News section of the forum. Normally we have at least 30 days notice.

Yup some do unfortunately like Steins;Gate, Deadman Wonderland, and Shangri-La from the top of my head. It is usually notified though with plenty of time to marathon them in case anyone who hasn't seen the series or wants to re-watch them before they get removed.
