I live in a smaller city but, I've only met GUYS that aren't into anime and/or don't even know what it is. Heck, majority of the guys here aren't even into games. now that I think of it.. its hard finding a guy that's into games AND anime. wow seriously? I have so many online friends from the US heh...most of them don't look like gamer at all too, you would be surprised at how many people play at least one video game. |

I'm pretty sure they don't play games at all. When I was in high school, I never once heard any guy talking about a game they had played. Even now, I don't hear anything of the sort. I hardly see people go into gamestop, Only a bunch of parents with their kids. The only guys I meet that are into games are the ones I've met on the games we played :/ |

Must've lucked out with where I live, I actually know a lot of gamers (male and female) around here. However, only about half that population I would say really watches anime in any capacity. I got my best friend into anime by getting him to watch Dragon Ball and DBZ. Since then I've watched quite a bit of anime via Netflix at his place if we aren't playing Halo Reach (was up til 2am last night on there). We're slowly getting his girlfriend to join us in some team slayer matches.

They were my gateway anime. Gotta say thanks to you winterfells and everyone else for the advice. And yes DB DBZ were my gateway to anime too |

You don't need a woman who watches anime and what not to have a good time xD, Hell, I was dating an older teacher, hates anime, doesn't care for games in the slightest, but didn't judge me on it, nor did she care that it's what I'm into, and we got along just fine. xD

Like deejayvee said, I don't think it's so important that you find someone that's into anime and video games as it is that you find someone who accepts your interests. Don't get me wrong, in today's society that can still be a difficult task to accomplish, but as long as your companion accepts you for who you are and that you like to watch anime, play video games, and generally be a 'nerd' by today's standards, I think you're good to go.
Just keep your eyes open and be prepared to step out of your comfort zone (though don't go too much outside of it)! To the OP, if it's any consolation, I'm older than you and I still haven't found miss right. |

I have friends with interests that are all over the place... Some of them are really into video games, some just tabletop games, almost none that are into anime (well, maybe just not as much as me D:). It can really feel lonely when your friends don't seem to be as interested in something that you like, but that just means you need to get out there and find more friends. And, hey, the internet isn't a bad place to do that. The internet is where I found friends that cover all the areas my RL friends don't really care about. Everyone's happy!

You might eventually find that you need to settle for using the internet to find these kinds of friends (and girls).
