I can understand where you are coming from. I'm from Mississippi and though I never had trouble getting girls, none of them had any interest in anime. One even demanded I choose between her and my anime collection...(guess which one I chose LOL) However when I went to college I ended up meeting a bunch of hot/nerdy girls who were into anime. We even started an anime club! I think that would be your best bet is to look for a club that share your interest. Lucky for me I live in Japan now and my fiance and her sister loooovvvveee anime! Her younger sister is a huge Otaku! In fact, my fiance and I went to go see the new Naruto movie last Saturday! The movie was so awesome and she cried like 5 times during the movie!!

Holy crap man, you're living the dream!

Also, I'd like to say, it's also pretty hard for girls to find a good anime-liking guy as well. In the first place, they aren't always easy to find, even if they *are* more common. There are a lot of types of "otaku" that aren't fun to date, either. Sometimes they're the type that gets a stick up their butt if you disagree with their taste, or they disrespect the genres they don't like. I'm so sick of hearing guys trash shoujo or yaoi, man, i can't tell you. Also, sometimes, they can be *too* into it. And I'm pretty liberal about my limits as far as that goes. It's like hentai/porn, i guess; I have no fricking problem if you like it, even if you like it A LOT, but if you watch it all day every day then we have a problem. You've gotta have something else in your life, you know?

i dont get that way i like all animes let me rephrase that most animes now yaoi will only watch with girls and only done it once with my well ex friend brooke and for shoujo id watch it with a woman but not something i would watch by myself

i would just like to sit on the couch and watch an anime with a woman who enjoys watching anime

I'm not accusing you of anything, of course. I'm just saying, it' hard for anyone to get a date, really. But if you're moderately easy-going, not a prick, and not over-obsessed with anything, then you'll find someone worth it eventually. I can guarantee you that, at least

OP: In the game of dating, you almost always have to enhance the physical appearance. Why? Well it's superficial of course, but when we go outside the first sense we tend to rely on is our vision, and we use what we see to judge the world around us.

So of course, a guy and a girl in public who are total strangers to one another are understandably oblivious to each others educational backgrounds, mental aptitude, personalities, likes/dislikes, beliefs, etc. But it's pretty easy to tell right away whether you find each other cute, physically attractive, etc. The rest is usually covered later when the two decide to talk and converse after the initial "physical attraction" check.

Don't take this the wrong way, because I truly only want to help improve your chances of taking home a girl's number once you go to Dragoncon or whatever other cons you go in the future.

Besides working on your exuded confidence and sociable talking, there are a lot of ways you can work on your appearance to improve your chances with women.

It takes effort and time to present yourself as a better bait to fish women! A fisherman can't expect to show up at a fishing hole empty-handed and haul up a bunch of fish. You get what you put in, in terms of presentation and effort.

There's too many variables to name but you can do anything from getting a fashionable haircut, updating your wardrobe at the mall to something that will catch girl's eyes, working out to get some tone and firmness, accessories (adds interest to your appearance), etc.

I'm a woman, and I enjoy Skyrim and elder scroll games. Along with Borderlands. And many others. I also watch shit tons of anime and read manga. I'm not the only one, though, its just hard to find women who are interested in that sort of thing... I have the same problem- that's why my guy friends out-number my gal friends.

Except, he can if said fishing hole was in the process of being evaporated in a dry area, drained, or cleared of the water by means not of his own. Then in reality, he could show up empty-handed, haul up a bunch of fish, and reap the rewards. So he put in nothing, in terms of presentation did nothing, and with little effort, he cleared the fishing hole of said fish.

Apply that to catching a woman, then well, it means sit around and wait for all the unnecessary things to clear away, pick your target fish, and then casually stroll down into the fishing hole and pick her up.

All that sounds pretty great, taking some initiative. Although dressing stylishly might seem frivolous and uninteresting to you, for the most part, it plays a big factor in presenting your looks and attracting women.

Remember, if you are looking for a girl who doesn't care about how you dress or present yourself in public, then you'll need to hold yourself to the same standards. And generally, girls who don't care about how you'll dress won't care about how they dress either.

If you truly don't care how a girl dress, then more power to you. But in my personal experience, most guys do, especially those who claim they don't care.

Haha, I guess metaphors are pretty limited.

Although in this scenario, a lot of things have to happen at just the right time.

If a man were to rely on chance fortunes, he'll likely end up starved. XD

I do my best to find them. lol, but yea I don't think that'd be a wise decision on his part and your original advice seems more befitting given the current situation anyhow.
