My current girl friend hates video games... but if i ever find a girl that likes to game then i would probably marry her on the spot.

I've met a lot of people that liked anime. Most of them scare me. I wish I can meet an anime fan that doesn't change the subject every 5 seconds, uses kawaii or desu in every sentence, or touches me inappropriately. I also wish I can meet an anime fan that doesn't look at me like I'm a dimwit. You would think that since we share the same interests, we could see eye to eye, but nooooo, there is always that one person that knows more than the other...... -__-

ROFL no offense but they've touched you inappropriately??!

That shouldn't be a GO in for any person whether they're into anime or not. (Unless you wanna be touched then - alrighty then.)

Yeah, well....they tend to think that anime mannerisms apply to real life, aka, running and glomping (My translation: physical assault,) and then hugging while rubbing their body against you in a comedic manner, (My translation: Sexual harassment) I just....I don't like being touched like that. I like hugs, but if your gonna jump at me like some rabid gorilla, I'm gonna get pissed. Half of these situations involved either me spraining an ankle, or them breaking their face on a wall, because I was smart enough to dodge.

LOL OHHH I SEE!!!!

*I've been guilty of Glomping... but I'd never glomp a stranger*

Sucks though - sprained ankle...? :L That's a little too hardcore for my taste.

Oh my goodness, I'm right there with you. I don't like people who change the subject every five seconds because it's like they don't want you to get a word in...I had a friend like that, but I stopped hanging out with him because it was like I was just there for his entertainment.

I knew someone who used kawaii and desu a lot...not every sentence, and she was a good friend of mine, but she would even do it a lot in public. This was before I even watched anime! Oh my gosh, I was always so embarrassed...I mean...what kind of English-speaking person needs to use those words? Of course, I watch anime now, but that's still waaaay too embarrassing. I wouldn't even talk about anime in public, to be totally honest...

I haven't known anyone who has touched me inappropriately, but the only girl who tried I sent home. I don't sleep around with people who I don't love.

I would love to actually have friends in real life, but I'm really too shy to have any. At least, I feel that I am. Maybe I'm just not motivated, and maybe I'm just coming up with excuses. Honestly, I'm not sure. But if they were into anime, I'd love that--but you know, not anime connoisseurs or anything like that, that's just too much. I would love to have a friend who wouldn't mind my presence, who I can relate to, and who has more interests than just anime. Most importantly...I'd love to have a friend who wouldn't judge me, but who would care about me enough to give me advice, and someone who I could do the same for.

Having common interests in a relationship is defiantly important. However you are not looking to date and or marry yourself, you and your partner do not have to like the same exact things! The most important part when it came to me choosing to marry my wife was not that she watched anime or played video games but that she accepted me for who i was. Me and my wife have a lot of interests however aside from Peggle she dose not play video games and she certainly dose not like anime. My wife though encourages me to continue to do what makes me happy.

Anime made me the person that i am today, a person that i am proud of and not ashamed of. I wish this same thing for all of you, don't be ashamed.

I dated a girl in college who played games and liked anime, and well life was not perfect you just get a whole new set of challenges in that kind of relationship. Look for a person who loves you for you and does not judge, know that you don't have to be a perfect copy of that person.

The thing about finding people who have interests like that... is they tend not to be found in the typical 'meeting people' places. You have to look where they are... conventions, online communities, game communities, etc.

I found my wife on a forum for an author, for example.

Also the title of this thread is woman not woman and man dont know what happened the
ir

I lived in GA from 96' to 02' and then from 06' to 09 and I met so many people that were into anime and video games. I live about 70 miles NE of Griffin though. Honestly though, all the women I have ever met that were into Anime or video games were shut-ins with no social life whatsoever. While I thought our love for anime and video games would make it easier to pursue a relationship, sadly, it never did...

I know girls in to anime at my school Really, I bet a lot of people like it, but just don't say much about it. I know I don't go going round saying what anime's I've been watching unless it's someone I know likes anime.

I know tons of boys and girls who love anime.
But it was super hard to find girls who liked yaoi.
BUT I FOUND ONE AND WE'RE BEST FRIENDS NOW.
c:
Oh plus the fact that I'm a total video game addict.
Lol, who needs a social life.
