How comfortable are you with your body image?

I haven't cared in a long time. I'm not trying to impress anybody.

Very nice!
I joined the fire department and I use the free gym available to us, it helps me feel more energized every day, and I know I'm healthier and in shape. but not much beyond that.
As for being a personal trainer, that's really good! I know enough to make my own schedule and all and what I can handle, but I wouldn't be able to set them up for others or anything.
But that's a really honorable calling you have, joining the military and all. Kudos to you, much much respect in that.

Haha thanks man!
Fire Fighter!! haha I almost became a Fed Fire Fighter.
But then I thought to myself the military is good too plus I get to travel away from Hawaii and see the world.
Never been off this rock XD... I love it here tho!
But thats great man! always nice to see/hear people workin out to better themselfs!

If you're going Air Force, and you're enlisting, don't go Open General. For the love of God... do not go Open General lol.

Message me if you want to talk about it from somebody on the inside.

I don't know very many people who are happy with their own body image (me included). I've been teased and taunted since I was young about my weight so even when I lost a bit of it (gained some back), the negative comments stuck with me.

I'm older and wiser now than I was then, but I still suffer psychological effects from what was directed at me from when I was younger.

The best I can do is work on it now and hope the weight goes away and that I might finally be happy enough to feel comfortable cosplaying Yoko Littner again or cosplaying Lum. **sigh**

yeah after reading everyones elses post I kinda feel like a douche. Love your self no matter how you look and if want to change it...do so. I have always exercised but I was once fat from age 26 to 29 I was 250 and now I am at my perfect weight of 195-all muscle, but it took alot of hard work and a LIFE STYLE CHANGE(not just a diet) to get back in shape....I first started by walking 1 mile 3 days out of a week. a month later I was jogging three miles, then 2 months later I added weight lifting and healthier eating to my change. I totally gave up soda-pop or whatever you call it...four months later I was at 225lb then I purchased the Insanity dvd's by shawn T. that are always on tv as a infomersial, and boy oh boy was the work out hard as hell...2 months later I was back to my athletic self again.
Also ladies your comments are the saddest...please stop comparing yourselve's to women in the movies, magazines or the false stereo-type of a beautiful woman. Some guy will find you beautiful no matter how you look.

Any tips for those not feeling so great about themselves?

I got over my flaws, its easier when you find someone that accepts you for who you are.
I have to thank my bestfriend/ex gf for that.
Workin out helped me alot. Goin out helped even more "Even by myself" movies/pool/mall. Bein social helped the most.
Once you can accept you for who you really are, it just becomes that much easier to be yourself.

Glad you're happier now =) Seem like a good person so it's good to see that things appear to have changed for you.

haha I do feel alot better. I got into personal trainin to help people, I work in a gym too.
But sadly its not enough for me to get by in life... so i'm off to the military...
But hopefully I can become a medical officer and be a Physical Theraphist! : )

Hey, good for you man...we share similar stories. I was definitely the same type of quiet/nerdy kid in school ...well I still keep the nerd part around but I've learned to embrace and be proud of it rather than hide it as I did back in MS/HS. My fathers passing a few years back influenced me to change my life around. I never really thought I had issues with my body or health until that situation came knocking on my door..I always like sharing this picture with people..so they can see a good comparison:

The most crucial thing I HAD to learn was to be comfortable with my body and who I was. It's been a challenging feet and I can't say I nailed it 100% but progress has been made. I can say moreso than not -- that I'm comfortable with my body image.

I'm not built, I'm entirely average, but even so...

I am comfortable with who I am. I'd never disrobe in front of guests or anything, though.

XD That's just a little too out there, thinking about it even.

Pretty confident, since I run often. I wouldn't want the body people would get from gyms, that won't match my height at all.

I somewhat dislike my face (dark circles, bad complexion) and I'm around 105 pounds but skinnyfat. I don't care very much though.
