During the summer days, students are allowed to eat lunch in the courtyard. The courtyard that shares a wall with the cafeteria has the same long tables and chairs. Professional landscaping surround the courtyard and there are plenty of trees to take shelter under. When not raining, the courtyard is the more popular place to eat during the warm months. Once the students switch to their winter uniforms, however, the courtyard becomes closed of to the students until summer comes around again.

While most students bring lunches from home, hot lunches are provided at the school. The menu contains daily specials and ala carte items including pasta, meat, and vegetable main dishes. The typical serving is seasoned rice, accompanied with a side dish (such as scrambled eggs, fried chicken, and boiled vegetables. Ramen, soba, and udon are served on a daily basis. Deli-sandwiches, soups, and salads are also served daily, changing between the different types available each time. The ala carte line offers senbei, pretzels, bagels, candy, and ice cream. Milk choices are the only beverages available through the hot lunch line. However, throughout the cafeteria, there are a variety of fruit juices and water available in vending machines.
