The only reason I'm asking this is because I was pretty depressed when I was younger and occasionally I tend to get quite low. Growing up with anime and games acted as a kind of motive to not do nothing all day except procrastinate and take my mind off from the shitness of what was happening around me. Eventually it kind of controlled me: I don't mind that fact that I've spent so much of my 18 years starring at a screen - because it was pretty awesome. And an unintentional side-effect is that I'm constant creative and pretty darn good of filming because I've watch so much - play so many things.
So has anime - or games ever controlled you too?  |

yes it do it like 3 years ago, my ex left me for other boy, so i was really depressed but i just watch comedy anime and actions sometimes playing it help a lot n_n, but now i just watching it for fun |

I watch anime when I'm too tired to do anything and don't know what to do...you could say anything I do is to escape, not my life, but the boredom of this world :p

No, sleep and eating was what I used to escape... really, really bad combo. Wish I did escape through anime or video games because when I do find a game I love, I can sit there and play the whole day without even thinking of food.
