Is the sims 3 not what you expected it to be?
We can't see our sims in restaurants or shopping, we can't make our own towns, we can only play one family per town, and the game just seems...well, underdeveloped.
However, I like that it can play on my laptop smoothly and that I have no problems with it at all--unlike sims 2. The only glitch is that every once in a while the sims are unable to pick up their toddler. As a result, their toddler will almost starve to death unless you use a cheat.....

I understand that many people hate the sims. I'm not asking people whether or not you like the sims games. This is for people who have a valued opinion over which is better, sims 2 or sims 3. If you hate the game, that's cool, but you don't have to go on and on about it, because you'll just look annoying, and I already understand your viewpoint

My opinion is that sims 2 is better than sims 3, but I wanted to know what other people thought.

Sims 3 is much better than Sims 2 when it comes to house designing..
There are many unique features that were added to it.. And also the jobs & oppurtunities are much in focus in sims 3..
There are many exciting expansions for sims 3 than sims 2..
You're right but of course there is always a reason why EA games should expand their The Sims series..

i actually prefer 2. there just seems to be more of an involvement that allows you to get a realistic feel for an outing. expansions and add ons wont matter if we can't get a proper connection to the game. but thats just me, being involved in things i like and getting a some-what realistic feel for what it would be like to make my sims hate or love each other. make a little love triangle here and a little gang war over there and being a hill billy with eight kids. or such and such. the only thing that i probably like about 3 is the career build. its pretty nice. similar to 2 but much better and connected-like.
