I only started watching anime during the summer of 2012 and I really do enjoy watching anime. I'm sure that it changed my view of life and my life itself but I don't know if it's good or bad. Did anime change our lives for the better? Or did it just make it worse?

It all depends, some people let obsessions consume them and they do nothing else.
Personally, I use anime for a LOT of my free time, however, I also use it as a coping tool for depression.
So I'd like to think for the better, for me at least.

idk. i feel like its better because they can do things in anime that if they tried in real life would just looks really stupid (take the dragonball movie vs dragon ball z for example) Its just more imaginative and more creative IMO, than tv. Sure they have normal animes like Space Brothers which you could easily do with people, but you still lose the art aspect of it (literally art, as in there are people drawing the stuff) but thats just me. Some of the people i know just think im a huge nerd for liking it (i am a huge nerd but still) but its more that "real" tv shows and stuff bores me because its all the same shit over and over again just in different places, and anime creates a whole new set of possibilities and opportunities and ways for stories to be told that just wouldnt make sense or work any other way.

I grew up with Anime, I don't know what it would be like if I didn't, so I'm guessing that it changed my life for the better. :3

If a cartoon managed to change your view on life, then your head must be nearly empty.

I am a full time international athlete, and I still want to be like Goku and Ichigo etc... I love anime and it helps inspire me to do what I do, I sometime watch goku's ssj1 transformation before I go training to get pumped up, and listen to anime soundtracks whilst im training. I spend ALOT of my free time watching anime and reading manga, and it is the only thing that can consistently keep me exited and happy. nothing wrong with something if you love it

I don't know about you guys, but if you meet someone who also watches anime and is into the same anime as you are etc... do you get really exited and just spend all day talking about the best parts and become instant friends :D?

Haha, right! Listen to anime soundtracks and imagine cool anime to get you pumped up, same with me. xD
And yes, if I meet anyone who likes to watch/read anime and manga, I'd totally hang out with them. Too bad it won't be happening for awhile since no one watch, or not even know what anime is around here. Only my two other friends who watch and discuss anime. Better than nothing.

Perhaps for the better I would think. I mean it did give me a lot of creativity and also it gave me something to do and watch. Also gave me something to talk about with friends which is good since I'm very quiet. I ain't obsessed over anime and manga that I need to watch/read something every time I go on my laptop.
Some slice of life anime, also, could probably help people out if they are in the same situation as a character in said anime. It also gives you an idea on what to do if you ever end up in said situation. If you think about it like this it probably will turn out for the better for most people unless they get obsessed on anime.

I don't know. Anime is boring.

Few anime episodes teach you more in life than most cartoons or movies.

There are many great quotes in anime that makes you think, also they show how you can view the bad villain as an crazy person who just lost his love for life and turned out crazy and might make you symphatize, unlike american movies that make villains to be either russian, chinese or afganistan people with no reason to kill just being terrorist trolls.

Japanese people got more spiritualism combined to their entertainment and makes you view the both sides.
