That's pretty damned close-minded but it's you so that's to be expected. Anyways, yeah I think it could have. Especially Miyazaki movies and it's unique perspective on nature. Rurouni Kenshin and it's view on why killing for beliefs can be harmful instead of just "Killing is wrong Mmmkay." The main thing with anime for me is watching what I want to when I want to instead of forcing myself to finish a series for the sake of completion or even letting a series linger half finished for years.
