- Stay in small competent group/clan/guild. Zerg guild like the Army is one group that you should avoid.

- Always keep a level and farming quota without sacrificing safety. Enriching yourself will benefit you greatly.

- Be informed. Researching and info gathering is the key to success.

- Know your limit. There are limit to things that you can do and cannot do.

- Good public relation. If your community know that they can trust you and depend upon you, you'll get perks that solo-player don't have like a secured slot on raiding parties.

Dat...
A competent guild/players will get you very far.

My MMO experiences...
Noobs will most likely always get you killed, whether aggroing a mob of high leveled monsters or just trolling...

I'd probably team up with my friends and be leveling up as much as possible. If I could I'd team up with my friend Kev cause he is wicked good and MMO's so I know I'd be safe with him. <3

I'd also be very cautious and like Asuna I would work on my swordsmanship and speed. I'd defiantly get my cooking skill mastered cause I love to cook XD

I think some of you are forgetting that this is a rogue-like style game

When you die...You're dead in the game and out

Would you really make such careless decisions when your own life is at stake?

Also they're attributes in SAO that wont let people hoard quests and valuable mobs

Solo players would have a low success rate; Would you really choose solo play if the down side was that if you made one mistake you would be dead?

Life in SAO wouldn't be quite as fair as it has been for Kirito. To make the plot more interesting and suspenseful he has almost died several times; for the average person it wouldn't end quite as well as it did for him.

As for me I would stick to the lead group and gain advantages by PvPing; It isn't detailed in the series yet how PvP could benefit anyone, but if it provided any sort of decent advantage I would do it. Killing other players is what I do best in the MMO Genre so it probably wouldn't be different for SAO. Also I wonder if the things they do in SAO have real life consequences; I mean if a guild of players manages to take out everyone then I'm sure people outside of the game(Think of your friends and neighbors) wouldn't quite take kindly to the essential real life murders that take place as a result of the Nervegear system.

Also if this game really did exist it would exist in an entirely different way. The lead group would be dominated by a single faction, PvP groups would probably Also exist in a single dominated faction since in order for smaller ones to exist it would mean not being killed themselves by other people.

I would need more information in order to determine stuff like city life for players uninterested in clearing the game or putting their lives on the line, and PvP in this game is still pretty vague; as well as how the mob spawns, and quests work, or how loot and economy works, OR how end game works.

I have reached end game quality play before in other MMOs and it isn't as simple as it seems. With the information present I am unable to determine how I would actually play the game.

Pffft XDDD
You sir made my day.
I'm pretty sad that with the "ethic code" in SAO they didn't pursue the fact that sex actually exist in this video game xD

As for me, I would probably be a tamer like Silica, as I don't like fighting at all. They never talked about archery yet, but I would probably do that.

However... (for those who read the books)

Yep, Blacksmith for sure. And since you mentioned it, I wished they do show an Archer soon... of course it is called "Sword Art" online, I suppose that might not count... Oh well, I have read on ahead anyhow.

Alright pimp jokes aside ,

If I know some Dual-spear style in real life i can using it freely in game even its not register as a mastery right?

Because Kirito has Dual sword mastery which allow him to active some special that pre made in-game.

Actually no. Kirito got a special skill so he can use Dual Sword. So if it's not register mastery, you would have to unlock it, or you wouldn't be able to fight with dual-spear (which is also physically awkward? xD). Those unique skills seems to only be unlocked by the Game Master for the best of the best and very best players xD
