first i would dress up like this---v
then lets see i would level up the best i could and try to get into a good guild and make many friends and buy a large house with them and then we all spend our time in there in a safe zone type area and every once in a while fight monsters so we can keep our levels up and keep our skills from getting rusty |

Who can't wait for the Star Driver Movie? and the Code Geuss Movie either.

hmmm i would go and form a super-powerful PK guild and knock out the lead group. Then I would start extorting the vast majority of other players for protection, killing those who don't pay up.

Well...I'm lazy so...I'd probably hang out somewhere quiet and sleep...train when I had to...play it safe until lead group finishes the game. Might try to be an info broker too...maybe a tactician? That would be cool...

I would go out into the vast world and slay anything that comes my way. I would level my [scan] ability to know how much of a higher lv. the mob is, then I would exe. the weakness of the mob. I would try to unlock as much abilities as possible. Be a well rounded player rather than being excellent in one field yet gimped in another, so that I wouldn't have to rely on another person.
A static duo would be awesome as well, live life like it's an adventure! Though some things aren't worth dying over. (b^_^)b |

i'd build my character as a Sword-Board user prioritizing tons of defense and survival skills. i'll add enough attack power to kill mobs with a spammable aoe skill and crowd-controls. if i have space to learn buff skills, i'll try to squeeze in an offense buff. everybody knows you do not build squishy in Hardcore Mode.

i'd group up with 4 trustworthy friends and live life having each others backs and training. id also let the big guilds explore new areas first so they can be cannon fodder for traps and stronger creatures

I would grief everybody i saw firstly.
I would do things my own way to a point, but I would still want a guild. I would have a skill set cimilar to kirito. I would be a sword smith as my secondary. I would be a PKK and I would lend some help to the lead group when I could. |

Since I have no illusions about how humanity works when they are put into a prolonged situation with no established authority, I would focus all my capabilities on PVP survival. Since there honestly is no real disadvantage to not personally advancing through the primary game at the front end(and most of those people wouldn't be the douchebag nutjobs), I would focus on assassinating the sociopaths and murderers that this type of situation would bring out in certain people, while trying to retain my own humanity at the same time doing such a thing, so that the folks honestly trying to survive and get everyone out could retain some hope for survival.

I can't say I would be in the lead group. There were times in my MMO experiences where I was in the top 5% of players in level/gear but I was never hard core enough to stay at the top. I probably wouldn't be a knight class...I only have played a heavy armor class once or twice and it isn't my forte (usually I am support class healer/buffer but since magic doesn't exist in SAO, I would be out of my element). Maybe a dagger user...I am fairly good as a rogue. But since I would be more squishy, I would definitely be in a party with at least a couple other players (at least one tank).
I would probably play it safe and hunt field mobs too...I have never liked dungeons as much because if you need to run, you were usually hemmed in with monsters respawning behind you. And I would level up my cooking abilities. And probably armor making or weapon smithing. |

I would put effort into the skill most players never used: Cooking. Eating ( though not necessary in SAO ) seems like it would be a good way to remind yourself what is waiting for you when you return to reality, and will giv you some motivation. Also, selling food seems like a nice way to tun a profit.

Join a guild and grind ASAP. You don't want to be stuck in the same area as other people because it's inefficient when hunting mobs.
Always go grinding with parties, Bad exp rate but safer from dying at PvE or PK's. Set a safety margin when hunting. If you have only 1 life, put a 5-level margin on your level to your hunting grounds. Avoid dungeons. At least until you know you can clear it. Gather information, upgrade equipment, buy teleport/heal crystals. Learn merchandising. You will need money for food and accommodation. Selling equipment and information could earn enough money to last you a couple of days. Get a girlfriend. If I'm going to be stuck in a death game, I might as well find a distraction from all the killing once in a while. Turning off <<Ethics Code>> might help... You know... Relieve my stress... I'm saying do everything that Kirito is not doing. Except the girlfriend thing. |
