I would be a person that would Solo the start of the game, get a few higher lvls about other people then help them lvl to make sure they didnt die.

I would basically stock up on all the support skills/items and focus on defence so when my team-mates and I are in battle and we get in a sticky situation I'll be the saviour!

I would be in a guild where we can all be friends and do fun stuff together and join for boss fight at the head group but pretty much everything else u solo unless u need a lot of help which wouldn't happen a lot also I don't know why but I thought as for my weapon if u used the throwing pins enough u could get a special skill and get like kunai and throwing knives and ninja star and stuff like that oh also I'd be a dagger expert who sticks to shadows with heightened str. Sight hearing smell taste reflexes touch tracking and also cooking

I'd be grinding for awhile in the 1-5 floors, until I was at least lvl 10.
Then I'd move on to the next 5 floors and grind more.
I would probably master sorcery, since that's what I mostly play in rpgs.
I would try and play it safe throughout the game though, wouldn't want to die that way.
I would probably also learn healing spells. So a sorcerer and healing, that's a druid isn't it?

The world of SAO is beautiful, so I wouldn't want to just camp in the Town of Beginnings, I'd explore.
I wouldn't be stupid enough to go into the boss areas though, I'd let other idiots do that hehe.

Might have joined a party, IF all of the members were strong and such.

Anyone who says they would be a solo player, probably doesn't realize that most solo players die instantly.

and there is no way in hell you would be able to decide whether or not you would be a beta tester.

Me? I would join a guild and test out some of the merchandise skills. I would try to max the most profitable skill.
In my free time I would work to exploit the game's code (because there are always glitches) and try to get out of the system without having to wait for the front lines (or outside help, since the police would be all over this one).

What :O
There should be, it's an mmorpg.
So it's only items then. Potions. Then I'd replace the healing spells for alchemy mastery.

Pretty much how I always play mmo, playing it safe and taking calculated risks. I would learn all the defensive skills first, using a lot of time making sure I maxed out hp, hp-regen, armor and blocking skills. Then I would start working on offensive skills.
Sure this tactic would take some time, but hey when dying = your dead it´s better to make sure your op.

Lame.
Guess that's becaus having healing magic would make it too easy.
And that using flamebolts from afar(real word?) would also be too easy.

But as an alchemy master, one could probably make a potion that could be thrown and ignite the monsters hehe.

I'd hide in a box in the first town... Eat droppings from people's bread as they walk by... Stalk random citizens at night like a creeper in my box, similar to Metal Gear... You know, just an average guy trying to get by.
