When you Just stop talking to someone do you ever ask them why you stopped? What do you say to get the conversation going again?

You think about why you stopped.

For example, I had a really close friend. We stopped talking all the sudden. After that I thought about why I stopped talking to her and noticed all the sudden that it was because she was using me and was two faced.

If you have thought about why and what the person is about and its all positive, then give them a quick 'hi' on facebook

If I stop talking to someone, it's usually for a big reason. And I simply walk away. I don't talk to that person ever again.

I would just wave or say hi. But if there was a reason for the not talking, I would do nothing about it. If this is happening to you... Good Luck!

If the person is important to you of course you ask why. You'd want to find out what the problem is and fix it, right? If it's just some random person you could care less about, analyze the situation and decide if you care enough about it or not. That probably sounds mean... I say go for the up front approach and ask if something happened or if there is a reason why you don't talk anymore. If they ignore you give it time I guess. If they ignore you forever, F 'em!

I ask a new question or realize that the conversation is dead and continue it later.

Do you mean just stopped talking in a conversation?
Or, do you mean over time? Cause most answers seem to be for over time but you also mentioned "Get the convo going again"
Soooo,
To get the convo going again, if it's online, maybe send a link or something for music you think they'd like, then start a convo about music & bands, or, about an anime, idk.

If it's in real life & over time, simply call them, see what's new, how they've been.

I do this; except if its a random person I wait for THEM to say something while I turn and find someone else to talk to. Generally, acting like you could care less about your time spent with them usually pushes them to break the radio silence if they actually cared. If not then at least you are A: busy talking to someone else anyways and B: feel less like a judgemental person for spending any time thinking about if or how of rez'ing a dead convo.

that'd work.

When I stopped talking to a person is when they stop talking to me, most of them need me and I don't need them...so w/e..just say hi it's been a long time, what's up? and start talking again.

If you truly care for that person and your relationship, there's no harm in asking why the communication started to decease. I wanted to do that many times, but then I felt if the person chose to quit speaking to me and converse with others, then I know they probably lost interest in communicating with me.

It's usually me who stops the talking.. I find it very easy to discard people from my life, I don't stop to think about it
